(A/N) If anyone noticed, I've been frequently writing from an omniscient point of view, or what you may know more commonly as 'Third Person's P.O.V'. Since there's a lot of new characters to keep track of aside from the main casts, I think it'll be more convenient to keep writing it this way. I hope you guys don't mind. I will still write in First Person's P.O.V from time to time. It's just that Third Person's P.O.V will be more consistent from this moment onward. That's all, happy reading😘.
(Third Person's P.O.V)
"Will this even work?" Crystal asked, looking at the Guardians.
The Black Gem's Guardian shrugged. "Who knows? That's why we're putting it in motion, to find out if this will work." He replied.
The other guardians facepalmed themselves at Black's heedless response.
"You could have replied more mindfully, Black." Said the Sun Gem's Guardian.
"Like what? Sugarcoat it?" Black snorted. "Oh, please. As if she can't handle something like this. We've already told her at the beginning." He retorted.
Everyone glared at him.
Crystal shook her head. "Everyone, it's fine. I already got to this point, so might as well."
"The real question would be, are you really ready?" Black asked.
Crystal stared back at him seriously. "Like I said earlier, I am. Let's get this over with."
"You were the one who suggested it, so might as well see where this goes." She shrugged nonchalantly. "Not to mention, I'm desperate, so let's do this." Crystal added.
Being that Crystal's soul was in a more vulnerable state from this moment forward, especially regarding her birthmark attacks, the Guardians came up with a temporary solution to help with their princess' grave situation.
"Since you barely survive your first birthmark attack, there's no telling if you can survive the next one. There's also no guarantee if you can find your physical body on time, Princess." The Earth Gem's Guardian began.
The Sun Gem's Guardian, "You're still going to prioritize finding your physical body first but considering you have very little time, you might have to go another path instead of depending on finding both your physical body and lost memories."
Crystal remained silent, urging them to continue as she listened.
The Light Gem's Guardian, "Your situation is more dire than you think, Princess. Your soul might shatter apart if you go through the second phase without your physical body. Same goes for your body."
Crystal nodded in understanding. "Yeah, I've already thought of that. I'm not sure when I will find my body nor do I know if I can find it before the second phase, so are there any other ways to get past it without me shattering apart?"
They nodded. "There is, Princess." The Guardian of the Air Gem replied.
"That is?"
"Strengthen your spiritual core." Said the Ice Gem's Guardian.
"How do I do that?"
"We're going to put you into sleep." Black replied.
Crystal frowned. "Elaborate."
"It's as simple as I said. We're going to induce you to sleep, then we'll do the rest." Black replied.
Crystal just felt more confused. "What will you do and how will that strengthen my spiritual core?"
