(Agatha's P.O.V)
"What's your deal with him? Did you have to be so rude?" I asked Darklight.
He shrugged. "I wasn't rude."
I scoffed. "Uh-huh."
"It's not my fault. His face just pisses me off," he grunted, looking sulky.
"Really?" I deadpanned, crossing my arms and raising an eyebrow at him.
He looked everywhere but at me, his lips pouting. "Fine. Well, his face really does piss me off. But he hurt you," he said, now staring at his feet.
I uncrossed my arms. "Darklight, look at me."
It took a long moment before he did. "He didn't hurt me. I did. It was right for him to break it off."
Anger immediately crossed his eyes. "No—"
"He remembered," I cut him off. He stopped.
"He knew who I was from the beginning. He knew I was Crystal when he first met me as Agatha," I finished.
The anger vanished from his face, replaced by realization. "Oh." That's all he could say.
"I hurt him."
"Nuh-uh, we're not doing that. Don't you dare blame yourself. It wasn't your fault you didn't remember."
I smiled sadly. "I know. Now, what was the urgent thing you wanted to talk about?" I asked, changing the topic.
His face lit up. "Oh! Your physical body! It's in Zeranhia. I guess that guy is taking care of you, at least your body." His expression darkened again at the thought of Zack keeping my physical body safe. "Valerie helped me look for you. I wish I had met her earlier. Her ability to get information and find people is no joke, but I'm glad we were able to find it."
I smiled. "I know."
He stopped and blinked at me several times. "You already know?"
I nodded. "I found out today too. The Royalties told me."
He blew out a breath. "I guess they beat me to it. That's good then. Let's go and get your body back." He grabbed my arm and started pulling me again.
As much as I wanted to, something at the back of my head told me it wasn't the right time to take my body back yet.
I pulled back. "Darklight, no. Not yet." I shook my head.
He turned back to me, frowning. "What do you mean? You're running out of time, Crystal. Don't stretch it too far."
"I know. But my instinct is telling me it's not time yet."
His brows furrowed, looking confused and furious at the same time. "That doesn't make any sense. You're dying, Crystal. You need to go back to your body before it's too late."
"I know. I won't die, I promise. I just don't think it's time to take it back yet. I'm sorry. Please trust me, Darklight." I pleaded.
He let out a sigh. "Fine."
I smiled. "Thank you."
"Don't thank me," he huffed. "You're too stubborn for your own good. But if I think it's getting really dangerous for you, I'll take your body to you or you back to your body, even if I have to do it by force. Are we clear?"
I nodded, smiling wider. "Very clear."
He let out another sigh before finally smiling back at me and wrapping his arms around me. "I'm so glad you're back. I missed you so much," he murmured against my head.
