"Alynzy..." I hear someone calls.

"Hey, can you hear me?" The voice continues.

I frowned. Am I hearing something?

"Yes, you can hear me."

That can't be right. Why am I hearing that voice?

"If you could just reply like a normal person, you wouldn't find it weird." The voice said.

My brows furrowed. It's not that I can but, it is weird.

Wait, am I finally dead?

The voice chuckled. Its sounded so smooth and soft.

"Nope. You're not dead yet."

My shoulders sag in disappointment.

The voice was silent for a moment.

"Do you really want to die that bad?" She asked. Yes, it's a female.

I shook my head. "Nope. It's just that I was born with an unfortunate fate in life. So, I wouldn't be surprised if I was finally dead and you're here to take me." I replied.

"Well, I'm not here to take you. I came here to help you." She said.

My forehead creases. "Help me?" I laughed dryly. "Please, whoever you are, don't kid around. No one can help me. If you didn't know this, my case is hopeless. Though I'm thankful you offered one, I haven't heard that word for a long time." I said.

"I didn't come all the way here, finding you, so I can just kid around. I'm serious, Alynzy." The voice said. She did sound serious.

"Okay?" Was all I could say, still not convinced. "Wait, how'd you know my name? And who are you?" I asked.

"I can't really explain in detail but I just do. My name is Gail." She answered.

Gail?

"What do you want from me, Gail?"

I heard her sigh then suddenly everything was bright. My once dark and black world lit up into a marvelous and magnificent white land of clouds which had me gasp in astonishment.

"Do you want to continue living?" I turned towards the voice and my jaw dropped.

She was stunning.

Unable to say a word. I nodded.

She smiled. Her striking jewel-like eyes that are literary crystal blues seemed to sparkle. She has long wavy white hair that reminds me vass land of snow in winter.

I was starstruck. I've never seen someone so beautiful, like a goddess.

Now, I'm convinced I'm dead. Is this the afterlife?

She chuckled. Her laugh sounded beautiful too.

"No. I told you, you're not dead yet." She said.

I blinked. I blinked again. She was talking like she knew what's on my mind.

She nodded. "I do."

My eyes widen. "How?"

She winced. "I'm sorta in your head, that's why I can hear your inner thoughts." She answered.

My mouth hangs open again. "It's that even possible?" I burst in disbelief.

"I'm here aren't I? That means it is." She grinned.

I mentally facepalmed myself. Duh! Of, course.

"This is real, right? I'm not in some kind of dream from sleeping too long, right?" I asked, confirming something.
