The world HATES Peter Parker. Except Tony and Pepper Stark. Everyone else hated him, all for different reasons. His aunt and uncle kicked him out all because he screwed up. His parents died. It was suicide. His friends had stopped being on his side after some mistake he made.

Then as he was wondering the streets, freezing, trying to find someplace warm and safe to sleep when Tony and Pepper came along. They were out on their weekly date night. They saw the poor teen, barefoot, in rags.

"Hey, kid. Do you need a place to sleep?" Tony asks, gently once they get close enough, he's not using a fake, spiteful tone, just one of kindness and Peter can see in his eyes that the man isn't trying to fake it to look like a good person, but instead he is trying to help. Peter decides to trust him after seeing the look in the man's eyes.

"W-who are you?"

"I'm Tony Stark and this is my wife, Pepper. What's your name?"

"I-I'm Peter. Peter Parker." Tony draws in a deep breath. Pepper notices. She gently raises a hand to put on her husband's back and rubs in gentle, soft circles. The gesture was on that was known to bring comfort to Tony.

"Are you by chance the son of Mary Parker?"

"Y-yes, why?"

"You're my son..."

"What?"

"Pep, I'm sorry about what I'm going to bring up. Kid, do you know what a one night stand is," a mute nod, "well your mother and I were both drunk and we had one fourteen years ago. I didn't know she was married but she was the one who started it. You must be about thirteen now?"

"Yes. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"D-Did you know about me?"

"Yes, but when she told me about you, after she told me she up and left, I never got to say a word. I tried to look into finding  her but she practically dropped off the grid. So can you tell me what happened that lead you to wandering the streets?"

"M-My aunt and uncle kicked me out last year. My p-parents committed s-suicide the year before and then I got sent to live with my aunt and uncle. I made a mistake and had a huge argument that resulted in me b-becoming homeless."

"Pete, I'm so sorry. I should have tried something more to find you. Do you want to come with us? If you want you can live with us."

"O-ok. I'm assuming that you have some sort of fancy tech lab, so do you think we could run some sort of DNA test? I want to be absolutly certain before I get attached."

"Yeah, yeah of course we can do that first thing tomorrow. Pepps, I'm so sorry."

"For what, Tony? You're doing the right thing."

"When we get home all alcohol will be thrown away. I want to become fully sober so I can be a good role model for Pete."

"Of course. I can throw it out tonight and while you take care of him I can hide it then tomorrow I can get Happy to dispose of it." Pepper responds with a small smile on her face.

"Thank you, Pep, for everything."

"Your welcome. Now since we have a teenager who appears to be frozen, do we want to walk the rest of the way or call Happy?"

"We're a block away. Hey, Pete, do you think you can last a block to get to the tower?"

"I think so."

"Ok. Lets go."

Peter comes closer to his father and sticks his hand out. Tony looks at it questiongly.
