The school day ended quicker than Meihua had expected. Of course, she was quite worn out from all the lessons, but she was surprised to be honest, that she hadn't dropped dead yet. She was walking home with Ningning, obviously, and Kai. The rest of them lived in different areas and Kai did as well, but the bus that took him back to his house only stopped opposite Meihua's house so he didn't have much choice.

"Since you guys keep bullying me so much about Renjun, what about you? Are YOU dating anyone?" There was a silence and Meihua grew curiouser and curiouser. "Well, yeah, me and Kai are," Ningning took the boy's hand and entwined their fingers, "Together. Hope you don't mind." Meihua felt a little tug in her heart. She wasn't sure why, she wasn't jealous was she?

Meihua was slightly happy with this news. She wanted to see more of her new friends: she was excited to hang out with them more often. "Well, it's my turn to go, and you said that your house is around here right? You won't have to walk too long by yourself?" "Uhh, nono, my house is just over there." She pointed to one of the houses on the opposite street. "Ok then, thanks for walking with me, Mei. It was fun meeting you today, I hope we can become closer in the future." Kai gave Meihua a quick hug, so quick that she had no time to respond. He gave a sweet smie and went to the bus stop, bringing out his phone to check something.
She found herself watching him for a bit. Even as she walked back home, she looked over her shoulder every few seconds, just to glance at the boy who had his earphones in. Kai was sweet, she thought to herself.
