Meihua was getting ever distressed. First, Donghyuck and Renjun had just had an extremely loud quarrel about God knows what and now, Renjun was telling her the same thing as before about how the government were controlling her.

"No, Mei, you don't understand. I've hidden a lot from you." He went into the drawer where Meihua once found the phone: she gulped as he handed the black object to her.

"Open it." She opened the phone.
"Click into the voicemail, and only listen to the ones from your brother "
"My brother?"
"I know you know who he is."

She had no idea who that would be. But when she looked through the voicemails and who they were from, a name that came up a lot started to pry a few locks in her head open.

"Yangyang..." She clicked onto the user saved as 'yangbitch🔫', listening to the last voicemail he had sent her.

"Don't listen to my other voicemails, Hua, only to this one, okay?"
His broken voice and fluctuating tone was that of someone who had been crying.
"We all miss you a lot, okay? And we know its not your fault that you aren't here right now. I didn't want to contact the police, because I knew almost immediately that something like this would happen.

I should've suspected it from the day you asked about Huang Renjun. That boy... At first, I thought it was that he was a trouble maker, but it seems as though the trouble is those who are looking for him. The bombing a few years ago was the reason he stayed behind at school, as a cover.

And I did some research into your files to, looking at what you did at school in Korea. Experiment upon experiment upon experiment. You and a handful of other students were put through a programme that did something to you, changed you. You came back home different, you were never loud and outgoing when you left. You were quiet and meek and I always looked out for you. But when you came back, you were the total opposite.

I don't know what happened during those experiments, but I do know that it has something to do with you specifically. And with Renjun and whatever else is going on there.

Please, Meihua, I love you, but don't trust anyone but yourself. And even at that, don't trust yourself too much. Until you're sure that you are your own person.
