Chapter 31: The First Part of O.W.L.s. Week

Lesley was already prepared right now in the test. Today was Monday afternoon aka the first day of the first part of O.W.L.s. Today they would take Potions and Charms, Lesley loved those two subjects and the reason why she motivated herself in studying last weekend. The other reason was she studied with Gusion together at the Astronomy Tower which gave her inspiration. She and Granger proceeded in the Great Hall where they would take the test.

A bunch of students were arranged into four columns of their desks, with ink and quills provided. Both of them proceed to their seats immediately since they have one minute left to take the test. Lesley sat on the third column middle, in front of her was Lunox Harmony tapping her fingers on her desk. Granger sat on the fourth column, one desk behind diagonally from Lesley’s desk in distance. Gusion sat on the second column, among one desk diagonally in the distance of Lesley’s desk.

He was already there 10 minutes before the two came since his fianceé told him that they were to the hall together and he agreed. Guinevere sat on the first column, aligned distance from Gusion’s desk. All of them didn’t review the time for the test and to prevent cheating. Professor Alice, who stood in front of them, had something to say for fifth years.

“Fifth years,” Alice said. “The time has come; you are all taking the Ordinary Wizarding Level Examination. You know the rules as I announced last time. Cheating tools are against the law I repeat.”

“Oh dang, I didn’t study much.” Granger groaned softly.

“The leader of the Wizarding Examination Authority will be your proctor in the O.W.Ls. Examination. I’m so sorry students that I’m not your proctor but do your best. That’s my last word.” Alice dictated, both her and the fifth years felt sad when she said that she’s not their proctor.

The leader of the Wizarding Examination Authority finally appeared in front of them, holding the exam papers with her arms. She was in the corner first when Alice was still speaking. She had a lavender half long hair and white blouse with gold highlights and had a black choker on her neck. Her bottom was plain white dress and black stockings and heels. She gestured to Alice that she could leave them to take the test. Once Alice, in the fifth year in the Great Hall, Lesley took a deep breath as she held the quill with her right shaky hands. The leader named Luo Yi smiled and cleared her throat.

“Okay, fifth years, I am Luo Yi. You can call me Professor Luo. I am the leader of the Wizarding Examination Authority and I am going to be your proctor. Please refrain from cheating as the Headmistress said. The first test right now will be Potions. Don’t answer it yet when you have a paper until I have my signal to start.” Luo Yi declared that she used her wand to pass all the examination papers for them. Once Lesley had a paper she scanned the paper with her eyes nervously, but she trusted herself that she could do it. Lunox asked her if she’s ready and nodded. While Guinevere a smug smile when she scanned the exam paper with her eyes. Gusion asked her if she’s ready and she said yes as she had always been. She expected that she would get outstanding in all the subjects.

“Okay I think everyone is having papers. You may start now. Good luck.” Luo Yi said.

“Psst Lesmione.” Gusion whispered very carefully so Guinevere wouldn’t overhear him. Lesley looked at him with a question face as she wrote her name and her house.

“I believe in you.” Gusion whispered and winked then she smiled and began to answer. Gusion made her worried so he motivated her. He began to write his name and house. 

After that, everything seemed silent, only the sounds of writing and putting ink with their quills were heard. Luo Yi was standing in front of them, beside the board it said.
