Chapter 8: The Thestral

The next morning, Lesley and Granger along with fellow Year 5 students went down to the hill outside of Hogwarts. They attend Franco's class, which is Cares of Magical Creatures. The sun shines downward to Hogwarts castle, which means it's having a pleasant morning. They were all now in front of Franco's hut and Franco was standing in front of them. Everyone is now holding their "Cares of Magical Creatures" book.

"Okay Fifth year students. We are going down to the Forest. Follow me and don't get lost." Franco said then everyone is now falling in line and follow Franco's directions. They walked pass through the trees of the Forest where they're going to discuss, not the Forbidden Forest. Lesley and Granger were looking at something.

"Have you seen Lunox?" Lesley asked.

"No, I think she will appear later?" Granger responded.

While walking, Gusion and his fellow Slytherin friends walked pass through them and he pushed Granger with his arm. His fellow Slytherin friends giggled a bit. Granger, along with Lesley, stopped a bit while others were walking. Granger made an unpleasant look.

"I don't know Paxley and his gang were here too. Hope he's won't interrupt in this class" he said with a despiteful tone then they continue walking. Guinevere was there too, looking for Gusion. "Gusion wait for me~" she cried. Lesley gave a cringe look.

"Even his fiance is here" she cried then they walk faster, passing Chou Yagami from Hufflepuff talking to Moskov Wildsand. Once they reach the place, everyone will gather around and Franco will say something to them.

"Students wait here, I be right back" he said then he left for a while. The students were talking to each other while waiting for him to come back. Lesley placed her book into a big stone beside her and took a big sigh. She felt heavy for carrying it for too long since they went outside of school. Granger noticed something in front of them including the other students, wondering what was the magical creature standing there. Granger went closer to Lesley

"Hey I know you study a lot. Do you know what that creature is?" he asked. They both glanced at the magical creature. Lesley scanned the full body of the creature with her eyes.

"I don't know Granger. I didn't scan that in my book. It looks like a winged horse but with a skeletal shape. I never seen this creature before with my bare eyes" she said.

"Me too. But the wings ressemble like a bat's you know. You know bats right? And it's all black." Granger asked then Lesley gestured him a yes.

"Yeah it's black just like you Chanter." someone mocked with sarcasm then Granger and Lesley looked black and they were surprised that Gusion Paxley stood behind them, along with Claude, Ling and Hanabi on his side, cackled. Other students were watching them.

"You two look alike, maybe you are the human version of that 'Magical Black Freak Creature'." Gusion said then Ling laughed. Granger frawned then Lesley set aside him.
"He's not a creature." Lesley answered.

"Look Chanter, your girlfriend is protecting you." Gusion said with a mordant voice then his friends laughed.

"Shut up and get a life Paxley!"

Gusion and his friends made an 'Awoo' sound then he dropped his book at the big stone behind and went a little closer to her. Her heart beats faster than ever so as her. Ling made his arms crossed and smiled.

"That Vance has the guts to speak up huh? Too much Gryffindor within her." Ling shouted.

"I can handle this Finch.." he whispered. "You're too brave to face up huh? What's your boggart Vance, a dementor from Azkaban?" Gusion threatened her then his friends roster of laughter. He went backwards then all of them put their robe capes on and they acted like a dementor.
