(A/N): I don't know much about making coffee. I don't even really like coffee. So... apologies in advance for any weird coffee composition descriptions.

Warnings: None

Zuko sighed deeply as he emerged from his thoughts, going back to the espresso he was brewing with a rather bored disposition.

His coworker for this shift, a guy two years younger than him named Aang, looked over in slight concern. "Everything okay, Zuko?"

Zuko shrugged. "I'm fine." He finished up the drink he was working on. "Is this the only thing in this order?"

Aang shook his head, handing Zuko an iced tea and a chocolate croissant. "That's all."

Zuko nodded, looking on the back of the paper cup of the espresso. "Order for... Sokka!"

A tan boy with a ponytail and shaved hair on the sides grinned, jogging up to the counter. "That's me!" He declared.

Zuko's eyes widened. Pretty eyes, nice skin, toned body... oh man, he's totally my type. He cleared his throat awkwardly, hoping that he wasn't blushing. "Great-I mean, r-right... you ordered a double shot of espresso, an iced passion fruit tea and a chocolate croissant, correct?"

"That sounds right!"

"Perfect... here you go, then." Zuko handed the slightly taller boy his order.

"Nice! I just have one more thing to ask you."

Why is he looking at me with such an apparent smirk? "Go on... I need to get back to work."

"Do you have a name, or can I just call you mine?" He punctuated the pickup line with a seductive wink.

Zuko's face lit up. "I-it says on my name tag..." WHY DID I SAY THAT?! WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

The brunet blinked. He was speechless.

A girl who looked very similar to him stood up from the table she was sitting at. She laughed at the boy mercilessly. "That's what you get, Sokka! Not everyone you flirt with will fall into your lap!" She exclaimed, snatching the iced tea from his hand.

Zuko's heart sank. So, he's a playboy. I should have guessed.

Sokka scowled at her. "Shut up and go flirt with your boyfriend, Katara."

The girl's face went red. She huffed, walking over to Aang, who lit up upon spotting her.

Zuko cleared his throat awkwardly. "Well, I should get back to work, so..."

"Wait!" Sokka grabbed Zuko's wrist, preventing him from returning to his shift. "Do you wanna... get coffee later?" He seemed oddly genuine.

Zuko suppressed a snicker. "I mean, I work at a coffee shop..."

Sokka's cheeks went pink from embarrassment. "Oh... uh, yeah, I knew that. What about dinner, then?"

Zuko smiled, throwing caution to the wind. "Sure. Why not?"

The other's face lit up. "G-great! I mean... cool, who wouldn't say yes to my beautiful face?"

"Careful there, pretty boy. I may change my mind." Zuko teased.

He found a marker, after which he snatched Sokka's espresso cup from his hand. He quickly wrote something on the cup before shoving it back into Sokka's hand.

Sokka's eyes widened. "Is this your number?"

He didn't bother responding.

Zuko heard him screeching happily as he walked back to Aang to resume his shift.
