(A/N): This idea was from the lovely AwkwardWritingPotato !
P.S.: I really like Masky and Hoodie, so in this one-shot, consider Marble Hornets as a sort of prequel to Creepypasta. It doesn't really matter for the story, but I felt like I should still mention it. Also, NO CHEESECAKE JOKES. The whole cheesecake thing came up because of a fat joke directed at Tim Sutton that was COMPLETELY uncalled for and flat out wrong.
P.P.S: I used they/them pronouns for (Y/N), but feel free to just read them as whatever pronouns you identify with, it won't affect the story.
Warnings: Implied neglect, (Y/N) characteristics that don't perfectly match all readers
Key (I had to make a few of these up because I hadn't ever seen a reader insert abbreviation for them, sorry😅):
Y/N- your name
E/C- eye color
F/C- favorite color
Y/B/D- your birthday
F/S- favorite show
M/N- mom's name
F/D- favorite drink (non alcoholic!)
H/C- hair color(Y/N) wasn't exactly a typical child.
Her parents told them that they had "imaginary friends", which in itself seems pretty average, but not after taking into consideration that (Y/N) was almost 15 (A/N: I just picked a random "teen" number on the spot; y'all can replace it with whatever age you want; it doesn't really affect the story if you change it) and was still a firm believer in their friends.
Maybe explaining why would be beneficial.
As a child, (Y/N)'s parents took them out camping. (A/N: Y/An's an only child in this, if you're not, just pretend) But, being a curious small child, (Y/N) wandered off into the forest near their campsite.
In the forest, (Y/N) wandered around without anything abnormal happening for a while, but after a few hours, they bumped into the tallest man they had ever seen.
"Woah..." (Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes sparkled and widened. "you're SUPER tall, mister. If I was as tall as you, I wouldn't have to ask Mom and Dad for help reaching the cabinets!"
The man stared back down at them, or at least, (Y/N) was pretty sure that's what he was doing. (Y/N) couldn't really tell what the suit wearing man was thinking or feeling because... he had no face, but for whatever reason, (Y/N) wasn't scared by it, just confused.
"Are you not... startled by my appearance?" The man questioned carefully.
(Y/N) shrugged. "You look weird, but it's kinda cool." Sometimes childhood honesty had no filter.
Luckily, the faceless man found their statement amusing. He chuckled quietly. "Fair enough. What is a young child such as yourself doing alone so deep in the forest?"
"Mom and Dad got talking about boring adult stuff, so I went exploring!" (Y/N) puffed their chest out proudly. "And I'm not little! I'm six and a half! I'm a big kid!"
"Yes, yes." The man laughed. "A big kid indeed."
(Y/N) was about to respond, but a smaller twig in the distance made them look over their shoulder to locate the source of the noise.
"Slendy! Are you-"
(Y/N) stared at a girl around their own age, maybe a year or two older. The little girl had matted brown hair and large, emeral green eyes; she wore a torn pink dress and she was covered in blood.
