(A/N): If you're getting kinda tired of all these Shuichi one shots, I'm sorry, but I have a serious problem with finding good Shuichi stories, so I'm trying to fill a void of my own wants, here.
On an unrelated note, this is my version of the pregame characters, so it's gonna be different than what you're probably used to.
Warnings: Obsessive behavior, implied past bullying
"Bringing the dead back to life? Only, like, two of the contestants will believe that. That motive won't cut it." One of the producers scoffed.
The Mastermind rolled her blue eyes, used to her producers' negativity. "Okay, then. What bright ideas do you have instead, Nakamura?"
"Regaining memories from before the game?" One of the interns supplied timidly.
"And risk ruining the story line of the season? Hard pass." Nakamura stated dryly.
"Actually... maybe the combination of the story lines could be an interesting twist for the season." The Mastermind hummed thoughtfully.
Nakamura's murky brown eyes narrowed. "Are you kidding me, Shirogane? Are you actually considering-"
"Nakamura, who's the Mastermind here?" The young woman snapped. "I'll make it work; don't test me."

"Oooooooookay, brats! Father wants everyone in the gym!" Monotaro exclaimed brightly.
"Yes! Don't make Daddy wait!" Monophanie added on. "Daddy doesn't handle waiting well!"
The remaining students groaned and complained, but they still uneagerly made their way to the gym for their next murder motive.
"Morning, delinquents!" Monokuma said, pulling out a strange flashlight from behind him. "It's motive time!"
"YAWN! Hurry up, teddy bear! I have better things to do than listening to your dumb motive lectures!" Kokichi sneered.
"How rude!" Monokuma glared at him. "And I was gonna enact the motive on you! I won't let you have the chance, now!"
"What kind of punishment is that? Who wants to have a motive affect them?" Kaito snapped.
"One of you degenerate males better woman up and volunteer!" Tenko snapped. "Better one of you than Yumeno-chan!"
"I... I'll d-do it..." A timid voice volunteered.
Kaito froze. "Sidekick, you can't-"
"I'm never u-useful outside of the trials... I-I want to change that." Shuichi admitted quietly.
"Saihara, that's not true." Maki stated firmly. "We should think this through logical-"
"Nah! Logic is boring! The detective volunteered! Let's get this show going!" Monokuma interrupted nonchalantly.
Shuichi gulped nodding at the rest of the students who were murmuring uneasily. "I-I'll see you all in a moment, I guess."
Before Shuichi had time to prepare himself, Monokuma dragged him out of the gym and into a hidden room.
The television set up in the gym lit up, showing Monokuma strapping Shuichi down to a table,
"What is that bear saying?" Kaito asked, squinting at the TV.
"Uh, no one knows, idiot, the TV's muted." Kokichi deadpanned.
"Shut up or die." Maki threatened. "I'm trying to read Shuichi's lips and see if I can figure out what's happening."
