(A/N): A Hetalia story? After ALL THIS TIME?! I've been reading some fanfics and have slowly begun paying attention to this fandom again.

P.S.: This is a human AU, so all characters will be addressed with their human names

Warnings: None

Characters (They won't all be relevant in this one shot, but in case I decide to make a sequel or something, here's a character line up):

Alfred as Christine (a less empty headed version, but still the version of her for the story, actually, all the characters will be a bit different than the musical bc these are different characters simply in place of the OG's)

Ivan as the Phantom

Yao as Madam Giry

Kiku as Meg Giry

Gilbert as Carlotta (lol, I'm sorry, I had to 😂😅)

Matthias as Raoul (Raoul isn't as incompetent in this; Matthias' Raoul in this bc I thought a rivalry between him and Ivan would be interesting)

Roderich as the previous opera house owner

Antonio and Francis as the dudes running the opera house that I don't remember the name of

Okay, now on with the story!

The opera house was bustling with activity, people rushing about in a fervent attempt to finish preparations for the opening night of their newest production.

Francis smirked, giving flirtatious stares at all the attractive performers who passed him by.

He bumped into a petit Englishman with emerald green eyes.

"Apologies, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." The young man grumbled, brushing his messy blond locks from his pale face.

Francis froze momentarily before helping the young ballerina off the floor. "Neither was I, no harm done, mon bijou." The Frenchman whispered seductively in his ear. "In fact, perhaps fate had us cross paths in such a way.~"

Though, his efforts only got him a slap to the face from the object of his affection. Antonio laughed heartily at his friend's luck.

Francis blinked, speechless and shocked as the Brit stormed off.

"ARTHUR!" Roderich scolded. "COME BACK HERE AND APOLOGIZE TO MISTER BONNEFOY!" Arthur was already long gone by the time Roderich had processed what happened.

"I am quite sorry, it appears that Arthur there still needs to learn to respect his superiors." The Austrian man apologized.

"Non, non, I am quite glad we crossed paths... even if it was in a rather painful way." Francis rubbed his cheek fondly.

"If you think getting slapped by a ballerina is painful, then I think you have problems to look into." Antonio teased.

Francis playfully glared at the Spaniard. "Says the one who allowed a petite danseur Italiane to kick him in his the-"

"Alright, point taken, amigo." Antonio cut him off to avoid additional embarrassment.

Roderich frowned, looking at them both. "You two are aware that this is a business more than it is a romance opportunity, yes?"
