(A/N); This takes place during the killing game after the second trial of V3.

Also, I have a head canon that Kiibo's outer robot looking layer is removable and basically serves to give his inner workings extra protection. I mention it because it is used in the story.

I toned down Miu's language a bit, but she's still Miu, if you know what I mean.

Kiibo's armor was supposed to be waterproof, but considering the fact that he was literally thrown to break open a tank full of piranhas, his armor was already a little damaged and the inner parts of his armor's circuitry were highly delicate before such an impact.

The trial had ended and after Kokichi's drop of Maki's true ultimate talent, everyone went off to their dorms. The day had been exhausting enough before such a reveal.

Kiibo was self aware enough to feel that his armor was stiffer than usual, making it a little harder than it normally was for him to move, but perhaps it was just his battery running low, so he didn't think too much of it.

As Kiibo entered his dorm, he made sure to lock the door before he walked towards his bed. Why do I even have a bed in the first place? I can sit while I'm charging, so why give me an entire bed instead of a chair? He shook off the thought, sighing softly as he looked down at himself. After his usual few seconds of hesitation, he opened his armor and stepped out of the suit.

Kiibo didn't like being without his armor. He was fairly vulnerable without it, almost like a real human. He could easily be harmed in this state and he was well aware of such, which is why he always kept his armor on with people.

He internally hoped that his armor wasn't malfunctioning and that he was just being overly sensitive. He really didn't want to have to attempt to repair it on his own or, Atua forbid, discard it entirely.

He sat on his bed and plugged himself into his charging station, powering himself off for the night.

Kiibo knew there was definitely something wrong with his armor after he sealed himself in the suit of armor the next morning.

Not only did it seem less easily movable than the previous day, but it also felt warmer than usual, which made the robot a tad worried that he'd overheat if he did nothing about his current predicament.

He thought for a moment of Miu, the Ultimate Inventor. Her assistance would be almost certainly beneficial, but his classmates were already so much more talented and above him. He didn't want them to look down on him more than they already most likely did.

Especially not Miu. Kiibo admired her a considerable amount more than he admired the others. He wasn't entirely sure why. Maybe it was because her talent was relevant to him? Yes, that was probably it... and she was great to spend time with... and she was very pretty... and- you get the point.

Opinions aside, Kiibo was the Ultimate Robot. He couldn't appear weak just because of a small flaw in his system. Such a predicament would render him almost laughable.

So, Kiibo decided to act like nothing was wrong. He headed to breakfast, as usual, even though he couldn't eat anything. Missing attendance would likely be considered impolite, which Kiibo refused to be unless robophobia was involved.

"YO PEASANTS! KIIBOI'S IN THE HOUSE!" Kokichi screeched as Kiibo entered the dining hall, making everyone's eyes glue onto the now overwhelmed robot.
