Dilann and I became really good friends after our last trip together. His
close friend, Gabby, already understand the situation between us.
Everything is falling into place. From time to time, we hang out together
with Liam and Gabby and some of his friends.
"What are you reading?" Dilann, who is busy feeding his fishes in the
aquarium asked. During weekends, I try to visit him in his condo when my
schedule isn‟t hectic.
"Oh, it‟s a new book I just discovered." I replied.
"Oh, you might be visiting a bookstore often huh?" He asked.
"Not really. A friend recommended this one so I ordered it online." I said.
"Okay." He simply replied.
"By the way Dilann, we will be closing another deal with your company next
week. Let‟s celebrate?" I asked him.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" he just laughed.
I tried to observe him from afar, he‟s a bit distracted.
"Are you okay?" I simply asked.
"Should I say yes?" he tried to joke around.
"Come on Dilann." I told him.
"Dad asked me to spend Christmas at home. They are planning to organize
a family gathering as well as the official turnover of his position as CEO to
me." He said directly.
"That‟s one week ahead right?" I confirmed.
"Yeah. And they send me the ticket already." He replied.
"Oh. It‟s okay. But, I expected I‟ll be spending my Christmas with you this
year. But it‟s okay. Maybe, next time we can." I said.
He didn‟t smile back. Maybe, he expected same as well.
"Don‟t worry. I will try to be back after Christmas and celebrate it with you.
Are you not going back to the province and spend it with your family?" He
asked.
"I think I won‟t this year because I‟m planning to send them here in the city
to celebrate Christmas. I‟m still processing their plane tickets and finalizing
everything in the house before I gave it to them." I replied as still reading
the book.
"Oh, I would certainly miss the house blessing." He said.
"It‟s okay. I‟ll let you visit there when you came back." I replied.
"Okay." He just said.
Dilann flew three days before Christmas back to his family while I was very
busy fixing the final touch of the house. My family would be here by 23rd day
of December, two days before Christmas.
