I was awaken by my phone alarm. I followed same routine as always. Nearly 7:00, I am already signing papers on the hallway with my secretary.
“Did you have a good sleep ma'am? because seeing your bright face today, you do have one.”, she teasingly asked.
“You're.” I replied.
“Overreacting again ma'am? I bet I'm not this time.” She interrupted what I'm going to say and I just slightly laugh at her.
“So much for that, I guess. Let me check my schedule today please.” I finally said.
“Anyway, you have three meetings today with the stakeholders but one is a private meeting with the new CEO of the READS COMPANY. Other schedules will happen later in the afternoon together with the staff.” She reported.
“Alright, please make sure to prepare a nice place for my private meeting. I want somewhere quiet but classy.” I said while making my way towards the pantry.
She just went towards her table and processed everything and also prepared for our staff meeting.
We ended the staff meeting around 6:00pm. My team was kind of tired as well as pressured for our next campaign and release of magazines and albums.
Closing a deal is hard but rewarding. In spite of that, we need to prove to our
client that we deserve that to have that deal.
“Here's your black coffee, ma'am. Also, may I remind you of your last private meeting today. It's exactly 8:00 in the evening. I already prepared your business
suit in the dressing room. I make it sure it's comfortable. That's why; I hope you'll wear it.” She said.
“Of course, I will.” I smiled to her.
“Really! It's done deal then”, she smiled sheepishly.
I went towards the bathroom of my office and took a shower. After, I applied a light make up and a nude lipstick to complement my black suit.
"Please enjoy your meeting ma'am and drive safe. Just in case you need anything, feel free to call me." My secretary said as she walked me in the parking lot.
On my way towards the restaurant to meet my client, I listen to a radio station. The DJ is quite entertaining that I almost forgot that I'm already at my destination. Fortunately I arrived just in time.
I like the ambiance and location of the place. The setting is indeed perfect for business meetings and events. Just I step towards the reception area the receptionist approached me and guided me towards my reservation. From there, I saw a man wearing a business suit and I assumed reading a menu.
"I'm sorry I'm a little bit late.” I said to the man standing near the table that my secretary reserved for us. I assumed that he's the CEO of the READS COMPANY.
“Of course not ma'am. Actually you're early as what we have expected. Please take a seat. My boss just went outside to answer an urgent call." He said to me
that made me smiled for my mistake.
“Alright! Thanks." I then replied.
“Excuse me ma'am but I need to go now. My boss will arrive anytime soon after his call." I think it's his secretary whom I‟m talking to this time.
“Sure. No problem." I finally said as I take my seat.
After a while, a man's voice appeared from my back.
"I'm glad you made it. Sorry to keep you waiting. “He said.
I turned my back at him but I accidentally lost my balance and almost fell.Fortunately, his agility is good.
“Careful, you almost fell." He worriedly said.
“Dilann? Dilann, am I right?" I asked him to confirm it.
