The cold early morning breeze wakes me up in my deep sleep. Last night, I forgot to close the glass door towards the balcony facing the sea side. I just realized it was freely open when I felt chills all over my body. It was past midnight already.
Upon waking up, I went to the bathroom and wash my face and change my outfit for my morning jog. I forgot to share with you; this place that we booked in is actually the best place for a morning walk or jog. I got envy every time I saw families or couple spending their full spread breakfast by the beach.
Either far from the village or inside our village, I don‟t skip a single exercise every morning. It became a part of my routine. Too much for that, it's only 4:30 in the morning so I still have lots of time to go prepare myself for a jog.
As I was choosing my outfit, I realized that I forgot to bring with me a jacket. It's quite cold outside so I decided to use the one that Dilann lend to me last night. I ran towards the beach and enjoyed the morning sea breeze.
From here, I can see my aquamarine towel hanging on the balcony. I go for few meters when I feel that someone is also running from behind. I got curious who might that person be but unluckily I accidentally tripped off my feet. There, I fell on the ground.
" Dale!" He immediately run towards me but it was too late. " Hey, are you okay? Let me see." He grabbed my left foot and there he saw how I badly injured it. The pain is killing me and later on my vision went black.When I woke up, I realized that I'm already in the hospital with a bandage on my left ankle.
" I'm sorry." He apologetically said.
" Yeah. You should be." I said.
" I know." He said while bowing his head.
" Hey, you're too serious. I'm just joking. It's not your fault. I'm just too clumsy so there I fell accidentally. Don't blame yourself for this." I explained and there I've seen a brighter face of him.
" Thanks. By the way, the doctor came here a while ago while you're sleep and he said that you can check out anytime today if you want. He just reminded me some medicines for you to take later "
" I see. So let's go?"
" Now?".
" Yeah. Why? I think I'm not that badly injured. We still have lots of things to do and since we haven't started yet, we need to double time." I said.
" Are you really fine now? I mean you can at least take few more hours to rest." He asked.
" No Dilann. I insist. We can't waste any more time." I insist.
" Okay...okay .I'll just pay your bill at the counter. Wait for me here, okay?"
I just smiled at him. But as soon as he opens the door I also followed him behind. I hop and hop until he noticed that I'm following his back. Thus, he turned towards my direction.
"I told you to stay there. Here." He reached out for his right arm and hanged my left hand on his shoulder. We headed back to the hotel and while on our way I can still feel that he's worried about my condition. As soon as I sat on the sofa of my room, I held his face and he seemed surprised of me doing that.
" Dilann, look at me. Don't take all the responsibility. Like I told you, I'm quite careless that's why it happened. I'm okay now. No need to be worried."
" I'm worried because I might ruin your schedule. We only have two days left but you're injured. We might not finish that."
" Of course we can. Trust me. Go change your clothes and prepare your professional camera with you."
" Alright. Wait for me right here, okay."
" This time I will."
I smiled at him realizing how his innocent face proved his personality. He went inside his room and took everything needed for the photo shoot. I watched my ankle disappointedly how I badly injured it. It took few minutes before he went outside his room with a body bag for his camera. I just smiled like nothing happened. I kept on enduring the pain but I keep on motivating him that we can manage to finish whatever is our activity today.
He rented a car instead of a motorcycle this time for me to relax my foot while on our way to the beach. The scenery is great and picturesque on our way towards the venue. I'm happy because the sunset complements the beautiful scenery. I took few more shots when suddenly a sudden flash of light from his camera catches my attention.
" I'm sorry. I just can't stand here and watch how perfect and elegant you are while taking shots from there."
" Hahahaha. Whatever." I just laughed at him while continuously taking shots.
" Dale...Dale...D--a--l--e" he continuously said trying to catch my attention .
" What!" I turned to him.
" Can we take some pictures after this?"
" With my bandage foot?", I sarcastically asked.
" Why? You still look beautiful."
" No."
"Please..Dale...Please."
"Just one shot, okay?"
" Really? You're serious about that. Come on, don't be selfish."
" Alright. Alright. Just two. "
"Three."
" Alright three final. "
" Thanks ".
" Whatever. Just finish now the tasks I've given to you. "
" Okay."
We took some personal pictures for souvenirs and random shots after we've done our job. He took our snacks at the back of the car and there we started filling our stomach because finally I'm feeling dizzy and hungry.
