"The place is beautiful isn't it?" he asked out of nowhere.

"Are you referring to the beach?" I asked.

"Why? Is there anything else?" He asked me back.

"There is actually. Unfortunately, I'm not in the mood to go there without any reason and with my condition right now." I said disappointedly.

That time, I was referring to the cliff, in a small island, a few minutes away via boat. I always visit that place whenever I needed a break from work or whenever I‟m celebrating for something. It was for a while before he was able to ask me again.

"Can I ask what would be your reason or reasons to go there?" he slowly asked me.

“Well, first, I make it sure that I would go there to take a break or might be celebrating something for myself.” I said.

“Is there anything else aside from that?” he asked.

“If there is, I want to go there next time with someone I trusted enough with my life.” I said while staring outside the window with my hands on my laptop keyboard.

“You mean, with your boyfriend or something?” he asked curiously.

“Well, that would be fun, I guess.” I said.

“Does a friend also qualify?” he asked straightforwardly.

“No one would like to go there with me or should I say, I don‟t have any close friends to invite.” I said as feeling sorry for myself.

“Well, you do now. You have me.” He said confidently.

“It took a wise decision for you to consider me as a friend. Like what I said, I'm stressful to be with. You might get tired of me soon. I hate the idea of being left alone again.” I explained to him.

“I can stay for good if you like. I say this because I'm want you to see me as a friend.” He said.

“Dilann, you already have Gabby as your friend. Why would you like to add me up?” I asked.

“Gabby is different from you. Yeah! She is indeed my best friend. But still, I want you to be one of it as well. And just to let you know, I'm not planning
to treat you like an addition to my circle of friends.” He convinced me.

“Let's better figure it out first. We have plenty of time to figure it out.” I finally said.

“Fine! I won't push you for now. I‟ll just wait for you to approve it.” He also finally said.

We stop our conversation and just concentrated eating our bowl of salad we ordered in the restaurant nearby. As soon I was about to rise from my seat, he asked again.

"By the way, how's your foot?" He asked while still on his bowl of salad.

"It still hurts but not like before. I'm getting used to it, I guess.” I said.
He
just nodded after that. I‟m not sure if he is still feeling guilty of it or simply felt sorry for my condition.

After we ate our dinner, we get back to work. We ordered box of chocolate cake, pizza and fries for our midnight snack. I know it's not healthy to eat but it's what we need for now to stay awake. His background in photography helped me a lot. It's around 3:00 in the morning when I
finished the article for it. So, I turned around to contact our lay out artist in the studio that I'm going to send the articles and pictures through e-mail.

As soon as I turned my back towards where Dilann is working, I saw him sleeping in a couch with a laptop still on his lap. I took my camera and take few shots of him. I can‟t help but smile how weird his position is. That moment, I realized how I badly stressed people around me. I'm just lucky
they‟re still there. I walk towards him and wake him up.
