Good afternoon sir. Here‟s your coffee and the documents you need to
check for tomorrow‟s meeting with Mr. Chavez.” After my secretary came
out in my office, Gabby came in to my surprise.
“Why you didn‟t wake me up? I was late for my meeting this morning.” She
complains.
“Why would I? The last time I tried to wake you up you thrown me a pillow
and you got so angry. So, I learned my lesson.” I simply said.
“Okay, your explanation is accepted. By the way, how‟s your face?” she
seriously asked.
“It‟s somehow not that painful anymore. Maybe the medication already
reacted to it. Bring me my medicine Gab. It‟s on my bag. I forgot to drink it
during my lunch.” I asked her.
“Are you going to drink that with an empty stomach?” She asked.
“I ate during lunch Gab.” I said.
“But that‟s during lunch. It‟s almost 4:00. You should at least eat something
before you take that.” She said.
“Okay. Okay. Cut it out! I got biscuits on my bag. Please take it for me as
well.” I finally give up arguing with her.
“Whoa! That‟s new! When did you ever bring something like that with you?”
She asked.
“It‟s a biscuit during my trip. I still have few of them.” I replied.
“Oh! That trip with your…” She asked curiously.
“Gab. Don‟t start. She‟s not yet my girlfriend.” I said carelessly“Hmmm. Not yet? So you have plans pursuing her, don‟t you?” She asked. I
was left off guard with her question.
“Why? What‟s the problem? I‟m single and so she is.” I said confidently to
divert her attention from asking who she is.
“Can I see her? Can I meet her?” She asked.
“Of course, you can. But not now Gab. She‟s too busy with her job to set an
appointment with us just for a meet up.” I said.
“She must be special for you. Unlike before, you never hide a woman from
me. I just hope she‟s not like your past girlfriend what so jealous of me.” She
said.
“Of course, she‟s not.” I simply replied.
“Well, it is good for you to find one.” She said as she rolled her eyes still
unbelieving.
She was silent after that. She simply walks towards the sofa of my office and
scanned some magazines. I know she got offended of my reaction. After all,
she always do care about me.
“Gab. Gab. Gaaabbbb.” I tried to call her from my seat but she doesn‟t turn
to. So, I walk towards the sofa and sit beside her.
“Gab. I‟m sorry. Don‟t feel bad about it. I‟m planning to tell you soon about
her. Unfortunately, you welcomed me on my back with that bad news about
your boyfriend. So, I think, it‟s not yet time. But, I‟ll honestly tell you if the
time is right.” I explained.
“Are you not really courting her?” She asked again.
“I‟m not yet in that stage. I‟m trying to get first her attention. Honestly, it‟s
so difficult to win her attention. She‟s so much focus in her job and team.” I
said.
“I want to meet her, personally.” She sounds so serious that‟s why I couldn‟t escape to answer.
“Alright. I‟ll then ask her to come in Liam‟s birthday celebration tomorrow
night. Are you coming?” I asked.
“Maybe, after all he became a friend of ours. It‟s good that I have now the
reason to come, right?” She said.
“Yes. And after all, he became part of your relationships.” I teased her as I
emphasized the word “relationships” to her.
“You have your time soon.” She replied with a revenge face.
“Hey, don‟t be too harsh on her.” I reminded her.
“I‟m not sure. I can‟t promise that.” She replied.

” She replied
