PART THREE ~ TWO WORDS

You rushed to John B's. You caught a bus. There were tears streaming from your eyes. It was around 4:00 a.m. you guessed. It was late, but he'd still let you in, right?

Eventually, you got there. You knocked on his door loudly multiple times until a tired JJ answered the door. He was hardly awake, yet he was miraculously standing there before you. He blinked and then asked;

"(Y/n)... Why are you here? It's like... dead-o'clock..."

"I-I didn't have anywhere else to go..." you responded, voice shaking. He tried to wake up more. He realized the tears in your face.

"Hey, what happened?" JJ asked, embracing you, letting the screen door slam.

"I-I... My p-parents kicked me o-out..." You muttered.

"That's terrible. Why?"

"I-..."

And, lucky you; John B walked in, giving you a distraction so you didn't have to answer JJ.

"What's going on? (Y/n)?" John B asked, walking towards you. JJ let go of you.

"She said her parents kicked her out..." JJ said.

"What?! Why?" John B asked, shocked.

"I-... It d-doesn't matter..." You said, more tears streaming.

"Hey, hey. Come here," John B said, pulling you into his arms. You had always been the closest with JJ and John B. You hate not telling them the truth. You sobbed into John B for a while.

"You can stay here from now on, okay?" John B said. You nodded.

"Will you please tell us what's going on? Why did they kick you out?" He let you go, expecting you to answer.

"I-I don't wanna talk about it. Can I j-just get some sleep?" You muttered.

"Yeah, we can talk about this in the morning," John B replied. He took you to his father's old room and told you that you could sleep there. You knew you probably wouldn't sleep much, but you just needed to get away from the questions.

~

In the morning, you woke up to the sound of the rest of the Pogues talking. Shit. They were all gonna start with the questions. You were still afraid to tell them. You couldn't.

You texted Janelle, telling her what happened.

🖤My Jane: bby i'm so sorry. ur livin with john b now?
You: yea
🖤My Jane: they're gonna ask you why u got kicked out
You: yea that's the problem at hand. i can't tell em
🖤My Jane: yes u can bby. i believe in u
Me: i can't...
🖤My Jane: would it help if i was there?
You: yea but would i rly do that?
🖤My Jane: of course bby! omw
You: thx Jane🖤
🖤My Jane: of course bby;)

You put your phone down. Janelle lives close by, so it wouldn't take her long to get there. meantime, you just laid there, staring at the ceiling.

A few minutes later, you heard a knock and someone open the door. You got out of the bed and walked out of the room slowly, since your legs were just getting used to walking that morning.

"Did you take a wrong turn or something?" JJ asked. (Reference to All American)

"(Y/n), hey," Janelle said, ignoring JJ. You waved awkwardly in a small motion. She stepped past JJ and embraced you tightly.

"(Y/n), I'm so sorry..."

"Anybody care to explain? Did I miss something?" JJ asks, earning glares from the others. You pulled away from Janelle.

"I-I gotta tell y'all somethin'," you said nervously, grabbing Janelle's hand.

"Okay..." Pope said, eying your and Janelle's hand intertwined.

You looked down before saying the two words that got you thrown out of your home;

"I'm gay..."

Silence.

After a few moments, JJ spoke up;

"We love you just the same. That doesn't change anything."

The weight in your chest lifted slightly.

"Yeah, we love you, (Y/n)," John B said.

"We support you," Kie said.

"Indeed. I value your bravery and trust in us to tell us," said Pope.

You smiled.

The other Pogues all came in to hug you. You were so glad they were so supportive and caring. You couldn't ask for better friends.

Once you pulled away, you introduced Janelle;

"This is Janelle. She's my spectacular girlfriend."

Janelle waved, blushing slightly.

"I'm Kie."

"JJ."

"John B."

"Pope."

"Y'all are the best. Thank you," you said.

"Of course," they said.

You were starting to think maybe getting away from your parents was actually good. Maybe things would be okay.
