PART FIVE ~ I LOVE YOU

You stood there, shocked for a moment. JJ was dead. Dead. No, this couldn't be. No. No, no, no. You slammed your hand on the door. You pounded on the door, desperate to get in. You sunk to the floor, your eyes filling with tears.

No.

No...

No!

The others looked at you and ran over. 

"What happened?"

"Is he okay?"

"Oh my god is he dead?"

You couldn't handle it right now. You couldn't handle all the noise. You were still listening in on the doctors.

Suddenly, the heart monitor changed its pattern. There was a little jump, making you look up, telling everybody to shut up. The heart monitor made sounds to indicate that JJ was alive. He was alive. He wasn't gone.

A little while later, a doctor opened the door, allowing you in. You ran to the hospital bed that JJ laid on. He had sting marks all over his torso. They were dark red. JJ was still unconscious.

He could have died.

Died.

He did for a moment.

You brushed your hand on JJ's face gently. You then leaned in to give him a soft kiss on the forehead. His eyes opened when you pulled away. You smiled. He did the same, although it was fairly weak.

"J, I-I thought you were gonna die... How you feel? You need anything?" You asked. 

"No... It h-hurts..."

"I know, I know. You're so strong, though," you said, your fingers stroking his face once more.

"I thought I lost you, man..." You said. It was quiet for a moment. 

"I-I got somethin' to tell you," you finally said. JJ nodded. 

"I... I love you..." You said, heating up. 

"I love you too, (Y/n)," he replied. You brought your lips to his.

Once your lips left his, you began to think about his father. JJ was seriously injured. What would his father do? Would he care? Would he still abuse him? You couldn't let that happen.

"Yo, J," you said. 

"Yeah?"

"If you go home and your dad hurts you, you come to me, understand?" JJ nodded. 

"I won't let him hurt you like this."

"I'll probably spend most of my healing time at John B's anyway," JJ said. 

"Yeah... But if you go back and something happens, I'll help, okay?" JJ nodded again.

After a few minutes of silence, you decided to ask JJ a question;

"So, um... How does this... affect our relationship?" You said, hoping you didn't say anything wrong. 

"Well, wanna be my boyfriend/girlfriend/partner?"

"Yee haw," you responded. 

IF NOT:

"I would love to," you replied, gently grabbing his hand.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you," you said. 

"Thanks."

"You'll be better before you know it."

"I hope," JJ said before taking your head in his hand, pulling your lips to his.
