PART TWO:

~<• el next day •>~

You and the other Pogues sat outside John B's. This was the day. You were going to tell them. You were terribly nervous, but JJ reassured you that they would be fine with it. That didn't stop your fear, though.

You looked at JJ signaling that it was time. He nodded. You stood up and so did he. He walked over to you and grasped your hand. You knew you couldn't do this without him. You were so grateful he was there to help.

"Uhm... Guys..." You said nervously. They looked at you and you got a few "yeah?"s.

"I-... I need to tell you something..." You looked down.

"Shit. JJ, did you get her pregnant?" Pope asked. Both of you blushed.

"No!" You and JJ said.

"No... Uhm..." You mumbled. JJ squeezed your hand and you looked at him. He nodded encouragingly. "I-I'm trans..." You muttered. There was silence for a moment. Nobody really knew what to say.

"We support you," Kie said.

"Yeah, completely," Pope agreed.

"That's completely fine," John B said.

"Is there a different name you would like? And what pronouns to you prefer?" Pope asked.
"Uhm, I'm (Y/n) and I prefer he/him pronouns," you replied.

They all got up and hugged you.

"Thanks for trusting us," John B said.

"We'll do our best with your pronouns and stuff," Kie said.

"Thank you," you said. You were so glad and relieved. You could finally have people use the right pronouns and name for you.

"Sorry for misgendering you," Kie said as they all pulled away.

"Yeah," the others said.

"Oh, it's fine. You didn't know," you replied.

"Thank you for telling us," Pope said. "And we're glad JJ didn't get you pregnant."

Everybody laughed. You and JJ blushed.

"Well, what do you say we go fishing?" JJ said.

"Yeah," said John B.

"Sounds good," replied Pope.

"Sure," Kie said.

"(Y/n)?" JJ asked. You could tell he wanted to use your real name to make you happy. You nodded and smiled.

"Yeah. Sounds good."

"All right boys, let's go," Kie said. You were so happy to hear her say that.

"Thanks, Kie," you said.

"Of course, (Y/n)."

You and the other Pogues went fishing and you couldn't be happier that they were using the right pronouns and name.
