Chapter 10

I woke up feeling exhausted but incredibly excited I didn't know why until I remembered the events of the previous night, We had ended up staying in the Gryffindor Common room 'till 2 two in the morning before we realised the time so that explained why I was exhausted and the excited part, I was going on a date with Ron Weasley! How incredible is that! Its so exciting I cannot believe it still! So anyways I got up out of my bed to find only Hannah was awake, writing in a journal of some description "Good Morning Hannah" I said grinning "Morning, You seem very happy today, Even for you" I immediately started blushing "Oh it's nothing" She raised her eyebrows "Just tell me" She said,sighing "Okay! Right so basically I'm going on a date with Ron Weasley today and I'm so so so so excited!" I gushed out so fast that Hannah couldn't even understand what I was saying "Come again" so I said the exact same thing over again and she started smiling "Good for you Amelia!When did this come around?"She asked "Yesterday" I answered "Evening"I added quickly making sure she didn't get suspicious or something,I started to brush my hair while still talking to her "Oh Amelia that's honestly great" She sighed "I know"I replied dreamily as I finished putting my hair into a mermaid braid "Oh wow you can do your hair very prettily I can just do normal braids and ponytails" She suddenly said "My Mum taught me how to do this, Would you like me to teach you?" I said, to her "Oh can you really!?" She asked me clearly excited "I'm sure I could try anyways" I said smiling "Oh thank you thank you so so much!" She exclaimed grinning "No worries!" I replied to her when she suddenly asked "Amelia do you ever wear Make-Up?" I turned around to look at her "No never,I don't really like it,It makes my skin all itchy and red" She nodded "You would think you always did,Your skins so clear it looks like it's covered" she said with a look of concentration on her face for some odd reason "Why thank you but no, I definitely don't wear make-up, My mum always said 'If you can't be yourself and feel good then you can't change yourself and feel good' It doesn't make sense but it kind of does if you know what I mean"I felt my face fall, mentioning my mum but at that moment Heather woke up "Morning you two" She muttered, rubbing her eyes "Morning Heather!" I replied happily,echoed by Hannah "Your happy, Like very happy, even for you" she said "That's exactly what Hannah said when I woke up as well" I said smiling,still "Well it's true, Any reason why?" I grinned "Well, Basically I'm going out with Ron Weasley!" I exclaimed, over the moon with happiness, Heathers mouth fell open in shock "No-Way! Your so lucky! Hes gorgeous!" I grinned "I know. But so am I" And then I flicked my hair dramatically "That stupid smile on your face ruins the sassy effect" I heard a voice come from the corner of the room, I spun around "Ah! Oh Susan it's you, How long have you been awake?" I said half screaming "Long enough to be filled in on the tea" then Grace sat up "Can't a girl sleep in peace?" she said, pretending to be annoyed but I knew she wasn't "Oh im terribly sorry high queen Grace" I said while curtsying mockingly "Yes that's right, I'm your high queen and your just a peasant" She said, sitting up straight and then,we all burst out laughing. We sat there talking about things for ages and then I jumped up "Gosh we need to get ready!" I exclaimed seeing on my watch that it was noon "I'm going to meet Luna after I get a shower and go to lunch so bye!" I got anything I would need for a shower from my drawer including a nice outfit to put on, I put it all into a bag not comfortable to be seen carrying all that stuff to the girls shower-rooms, you know, I left the dorm and went to the shower rooms

The Great Hall

I walked through the doors of the great hall and I couldn't help but scan the Gryffindor table, I eventually seen Harry, Ron, Hermione and Sophie all sitting together at the end of the table, Both Ron and Sophie caught my eye and smiled, I smiled back before walking over to the Hufflepuff table and settling myself between Hannah and Ernie McMillan "Hiya" I said happily "Hi" Hannah replied and Ernie gave me a sly smile and i turned to Hannah "You told him didn't you?" I asked her and she nodded and grinned. We sat there chatting till breakfast was finished. When breakfast was finished I headed up to the Ravenclaw tower to talk to Luna, When I finally got there I knocked on the door to be greeted by a riddle "How can you enter a room with two legs and leave with six?"I thought for a while when it finally came to me "Oh! You take a chair with you!" And the door swung open, I grinned it always took me ages to get into the Ravenclaw common room, Why did it have to be so difficult?

When I got in I seen Luna sitting in an arm chair reading and issue of the Quibbler upside down. None of the Ravenclaws cared I was in there ,There was gryffindors and slytherins in there too and other Hufflepuffs it's just as long as the teachers don't find out. I walked over and sat in the arm chair next to Luna "Hello Amelia" She said, still reading her magazine "Hi Luna" I replied "You look nice today." She said to me "Oh I'm going out with Ron." I said and then Luna finally lowered her magazine her mouth opened in shock in such an un luna-ish way. I of course told Luna about my crush on Ron "No-way"She said and I grinned in that same stupid way "Yes way!" I exclaimed.

4:40 pm

"Right got to go!" I said to Hannah and Grace jumping off my bed, I quickly looked in the mirror, My long blonde hair in a french braid and I was wearing black jeans with a flowy pink t-shirt "You look beautiful meils" Hannah said and I smiled "You really think so?" I asked her uncertainly "I know so. Now hurry up and go!" She replied "Okay! Okay! I'm going!" I said rushing out the door. I walked through the common room, up and out to the entrance hall, outside and over to the lake where I seen Ron sitting up against an oak tree "Hi!" I called "Amelia!" He cried in response.I ran over to the tree "Hi" I said

"Hello"

"Hi"

"Hey"

"Hi"

"Okay we should probably say something other than greeting each other in many different ways" He said and I laughed "Yeah probably" I replied, Sitting next to him "I know this isn't a very romantic date or something but it's not like we can go into Hogsmeade or something like that but, It'll be nice as long as there isn't a sudden storm" I laughed at that "Well it's all good. Who needs Hogsmeade when you have... a tree..."I said "It sounds pathetic when you say it like that" Ron said whilst laughing "I know" I replied, Also laughing "But it's going to be really nice." I said firmly, and Ron nodded "Yeah. It will be" he said "So what did Harry and Hermione take of this?" I asked curiously "Well Harry laughed at me and Hermione looked very surprised"
