Chapter 13

"How are we getting home?" I asked Dad "We're going to take the muggle transport to the leaky cauldron from there were going in floo" We walked through the wall and off the platform, Luna and I were chatting when dad interrupts us "So Amelia, This boyfriend of yours?" He asks, I felt my face go red "Oh Uhm Uhm... Yeah Ron Weasley, Yeah he's nice you know..." I stuttered, Dad laughed "Okay. Will I ever get to meet him?" He said "Uhm yeah maybe, probably, sometime" I said, falling over my words

We arrived back home and into the kitchen. I took a deep breath, the smell of home filling my nostrils, I love hogwarts I really do but it doesn't compare to the familiar smell of just being home. I heard noises from the windowsill "Oh the Nargles!" I cried and ran over "Wow! That is a big nest!" I exclaimed "Oh you read the article?" Dad asked me "Yes, Yes on the train earlier! In my bedroom too! Oh I'm so lucky!" I told him "Here let's get your trunks upstairs now. Dad levitated them and began walking up the stairs, followed by Me and Luna. Dad set Luna's trunk in her room, I looked around her room. The walls were a soft white colour and a light blue carpet, Her single bed stood against the wall, There were several pictures on her bedside locker including the last family photo we had took with mum, a picture of me and Luna in the stream with mum and a picture of Luna and mum hugging. There was also a hairbrush, notebook, pen and a lovely smelling candle. She's got a dresser with her clothes but on it she has a cork board which features more pictures. She has a huge bay window with extremely nice cushions.We went back downstairs again and came to my room, My room is very different from Luna's, I've got a huge bay window like Luna's, Littered with books, It has pretty yellow cushions on it. My bed was the same as Luna's as well, though, I have a yellow bedspread and Luna has a blue one. My carpet is plain grey and my walls a light cream colour, Beside my bed stood my bedside table which like Luna had pictures on it, One of me with Harry and Ron at the end of last year, The same one Luna has of me, her and mum in the stream, I've got a picture of me on dads shoulders, taken by mum. On my bedside table also sits a little alarm clock. I've got a dresser similar to Luna's though slightly darker in colour and my knobs to open them are square while Luna's are round. On my dresser sat a huge cork board featuring pictures of my family and friends along side a record player which had once been grey but I had painted it yellow to match the rest of my room.The last thing sitting there was a candle which smelt of vanilla. On my wall hung two paintings. One of my family and one of all my friends. "Off to bed now the both of you's" Dad said to me and Luna, Luna left the room "Love you Amelia" Dad said and hugged me "Love you too" I said smiling. Once Dad had left the room I pulled my curtains shut and closed my door, I began dressing into my pyjamas. Once dressed I brushed my hair and pulled it into two braids.I climbed into bed and fell asleep almost instantly

I woke up at half eight on Christmas Eve Morning,Whatever you call it the 24th of December I don't know. Anyways, that's not Important. I walked down the stairs, not bothering to get dressed, I was walking into the kitchen when I heard Luna's voice from somewhere behind me "Amelia?" She called "Yeah?" I said "Um I'm in the uh bathroom... Could you um come here..." She responded "Ummmmm yeah?" I said, confused. "What's wrong?" I asked her, standing outside the door "I um need some help...." I was confused but I finally realised what she meant "OH!" I said loudly "Yeah give me one second I'll go get you some things" I bolted back up the stairs and ran back down a minute later with a small pink box I opened the door a crack and handed Luna the box "You know how to do it right?" I asked her "Yeah" She responded "I'll wait here for you" I said "Okay... Thank you" When she came back out I gave her a hug "Are you okay?" I asked her she nodded, her face was pale and she was shaking slightly "It's natural" I said to her and we both went into the kitchen.

We were sitting at the table when Dad walked in "Morning girls" He said "Good morning Daddy" Luna and I said in unison "Ow!" Luna cried "What's wrong?" Dad said. Luna froze "I'm sorry, Luna!" I cried "I stepped on her toe by accident" I told Dad, I had done nothing of the sort though "Oh okay" He turned away and I squeezed Luna's hand under the table
