I woke up forgetting where I was before I remembered 'Ah yes Hogwarts!' I thought as I sat up to see my roommates all still asleep, I climbed out of bed being as quiet as possible I must get a shower after school I thought as I rustled around in my still packed trunk I'll unpack that later too I thought as I found what I was looking for I quickly got dressed pulling on my new Hufflepuff robes with pride I wonder which class we'll have first I wondered as I did my hair into two dutch braids in front of the mirror as I noticed the rest of the girls stirring
"Morning" Heather muttered to me
"Good Morning!" I said back through a smile "I'm going to go on down to the great hall, I'll see you down there in a bit yeah?" all the girls murmered agreements as they all got up out of bed.
I reached the great hall and I probably looked lost not knowing where to sit when a fourth year boy with brown slightly curly hair and brown eyes beckoned to me so I walked to him "Here, you can sit next to me" he said kindly
"Oh are you sure? I mean, I'm sure you've got better people to sit with than a random first year" I said surprised "No, No here sit, it's okay" he told me as he patted the bench next to him "I'm Cedric Diggory by the way, What's your name?" he asked me
"Oh, Amelia Lovegood" I told him as I sat down
"Oh so is your Dad Xenophilius Lovegood by any chance?" he asked me as I poured myself some CheeriOwls
"Yes, yes he is. How do you know him?" I asked wondering how he knew my Dad he didnt seem like someone that read the Quibbler
"He does the Quibbler obviously, I love that magazine" I smiled
"Really?" I asked him in disbelief but smiling with pride
"Yeah of course" a lot of boys from Cedric's year came over so I stood up from the table having spotted Heather come through the door anyways
"Hey, where are you going?" he asked me
"Well I see your friends are here besides I see mine" I told Cedric as Hannah, Grace and Susan came in after Heather
"Awh okay let me know if you ever need anything" he said kindly
"Okay sure bye" I skipped of to sit with my friends
