Chapter 45

Driving to An Yi Wei's company, I watch as time passes by and wait till it reaches the destined moment.

I couldn't be bothered to leave since I would be chained by the script and be forced to act against my will again.

Even if I stray far away from it, nothing would change. Time and time and again I would leap but it still happens.

But now, would I finally regain my self and avoid the plot's existence? Would something change today or would it still be the same?

I'm in the company's lobby and met a female employee who greeted and smile at me professionally.

"Good morning ma'am, how may I help you?"

"I'm looking for... Mr. An" I couldn't call him by his name, they wouldn't believe me after all no one knew An Yi Wei's 'abandoned' wife.

But before she could politely decline, just by seeing the knowing in her eyes, she must have to think of me as a third rate actress trying to climb on An Yi Wei's bed, the head secretary came in.

"Mrs. An? Is that you? Oh- it is you, no need to wait here, Mrs. An!"

The rest of the staff looked at me with round eyes and even the lobbyist was shocked.

"Oh, thank you" I ignored their surprised reaction and went together with An Yi Wei's head secretary. He had seen me before when he went to drive An Yi Wei home.

He pushed the button on the top floor and in just a minute or so, we've arrived.

"Oh, don't tell my husband yet, I'll just go freshen up in the restroom first" I smiled softly before he nodded and scurried off to do his work.

I went inside one of the stalls and locked it and I breathed out in nervousness. There's only a minute left and I know, the people that would stimulate 'me' would arrive.

I've already lost hope for everything that I've experienced, I don't want to be crushed by my expectations once more, it's just wishful thinking back then.

But now, maybe something would change.

I closed my eyes and felt the familiar zap of electricity in my brain and I was soon being controlled.

It's been a while yet I truly abhor this feeling and I can't wait for it to end.

The bathroom door opened and I could hear some shuffling and giggling from the other side. Something clatters and falls of the ground, the water from the sink rang, and then I heard their voices.

"I heard that Mr. An's wife is here"

"Oh really? I thought Mr. An was a bachelor, we've never even seen our boss's wife and now she's here. Hey, why do you think she came here?"

'I' clutched my palm, heart beating fastly as I heard their words. It was so familiar, to think that these employees would chatter nonsense without fear.

What if one of the head staff's heard them and reported them to the CEO, what would they do then? The quote 'Think before you speak' is very used to this day yet not much applies it.

"Maybe she heard about Shaoyan?"

"That white lotus? Heh, just because she's beautiful even our CEO was hooked by that two-faced bitch" her voice was bitter as she spouts those vulgar words.

"Well, who doesn't want to get into our CEO's bed? She, a sparrow thinking she could become a phoenix? Hmph!" I heard the third one harrumphing.

In no time, tears dropped into my eyes as I was wracked with sobs. I tried to contain it with my palm and remain quiet.

I knew it.

It was still the same, I thought I could finally free myself of the world's shackle, why is this happening?

Is there nothing left for me?

Would I remain like this? Living in this world forever and relieving this life till my sanity is gone?

That's very sad for our precious Caia. You know, think before you speak is a very used quote but yes, we still don't apply it in our life. Talking back to others is such a cowardly thing yet we all do it.

Ugh.
