"mum i'm going out." i say as i walk past her towards the front door.

"have you packed everything, the flights tomorrow night." she asks.

"yes." i kiss her cheek and exit the house.

"there she is!" zoe shouts out of alejandro's passenger window and i smile as i make my way to the car.

"hm, doesn't look much like elle." alejandro says as i get into the backseat.

"he didn't talk to me all day yesterday, only came to pick up his car and left. are we going to get kairi?" i ask in an attempt to change the subject from how i spent all of monday crying in my bedroom watching edits of us and videos of each memory we have together.

"he's looking after mattia, you're not the only heartbroken one." alejandro replies and i flip him off as we begin to drive.

"i want to spend my last day with him too." i frown.

"wow, you're really leaving tomorrow? i can't believe i'm never going to see you again." zoe says and i wrap my arms around her and the back of her seat.

"don't be stupid, it's only for two years."

"we'll all be twenty years old, ew." alejandro shakes his head. "but i'm really proud of you elle, chasing after what you want."

"i'm proud of you too ale." i smile.

"let's go bowling bitches!" zoe shouts and lightens up the mood. alejandro's phone chimes and he tells her to check it. "he's gonna meet us there."

"who?" i ask, with hope of him replying with the love of my life's name.

"kai."

-

"you're unbelievable!" zoe laughs as she hops into the front seat and hits ale's arm.

"it was funny tho." kairi says from besides me in the back.

"you got us kicked out." i shake my head.

"we had been there all day it was getting boring." alejandro shrugs and turns on music.

"where we going now?" zoe asks.

"home, i'm tired." i say and rest my head on kai.

"no, no. what time is it? it's only like seven, i want starbucks." kairi says and ale starts driving.

"yeah we're going to starbucks." alejandro agrees with him weirdly.

"you guys don't even like starbucks?" i chuckle, confused.

"she's right." zoe says.

"well we're going right now so you're obviously wrong." alejandro shrugs and i just drop the subject.

we start talking about all our memories together and it feels like i'm going to be dying tomorrow with the way they are talking about me, they're so overdramatic. however, i feel like it's not fair to call them over dramatic when i'm the one with tears rolling down my cheeks.

"girl, whenever you come back to jersey after two years we'll be in jersey too, it will be like nothings changed." kairi re-assures me as he wipes my tears.

"yeah, elle, cheer up. we're at starbucks, look." alejandro says as he parks up the car.

"fuck starbucks." i say without sitting up.
