Sam
Tyler came back again. This is his third day back since he's left the residents home and I'm glad he's back. He adds some life to this place even though he's not all that cheerful anymore.
He was with his grandmother right now. He wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. The doctor says she has 3 weeks left but it could be more or less depending on how her condition progresses.
I was still working on the blanket. I hadn't actually told Tyler about it because I wanted it to be a surprise. That, and I also forgot to tell him the first few times he'd come by so I decided it'd be best to surprise him. By how fast I was knitting the pieces together, I assumed I'd be done sometime this week. Hopefully, I finish it in time. The door to the knitting room opened, signaling that Tyler had finished talking to his grandmother. I quickly stuffed the blanket into a basket.
"Woah, calm down Sam." Ashely chuckled. "Why so secretive?"
I sighed in relief as I took it back out. "I thought you were Tyler." I admitted.
"But isn't this for Tyler?"
"But isn't what for Tyler?" Tyler walked into the doorway causing me and Ashley to jump.
"Uh...well you see.....I just...." I sputters trying to find the right words.
Ashely gave me a warning glance before speaking up. "Sam was saying that he had a video game for you. It was supposed to be a surprise but oops." She let out a nervous giggle. "guess the cats out of the bag."
"A video game?"
"Um yeah." kids like that don't they?
"Cool. What game? Wait don't tell me! I want it to be a surprise."
"Okay." I said smiling warmly at him while giving Ashley a death glare.
"Well I've gotta go. My mother is actually waiting for me so bye. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye." Ashley and I chimed.
The moment the doors closed I let out a sigh of relief.
"Well at least your secret is safe." Ashely stated.
"But now I've got to buy him a video game. I don't know what kind of game to get him." I sighed deeply.
"Well you're a dude. Just pick anything you'd like."
"I don't really like video games."
Ashely stared at me with disbelief for a moment before responding."Oh. well it sucks to be you. That's your problem, you deal with it." She tried to walk away from me but I grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.
"No. it's our problem. You got me into this mess and you're going to help get me out of it."
"Ugh fine."
