Sam
Tyler hadn't been back for weeks now and it was weird without him around. I was so used to talking to him during knitting class that when I found out he wasn't there, I had no clue what to do.
"Sam you can't just do nothing, this is your job you know." Ashley stated, hands on her hips.
"I know, I know but I'm terrible at knitting."
"Then learn."
She walked away after that, leaving me in silence once again. I didn't mind silence every once in a while. It was good to have a few moments for your thoughts but as silence lengthened it often held boredom.
I watched Ashely as she picked up her own work that held a penguin in the center of it. It was actually really pretty, for a blanket I guess. She caught me staring and just shook her head as if to say what a shame it was that I couldn't do what she did. I smiled a bit as I closed my eyes and let my mind wander.
"I'll learn someday." I whispered, a promise to myself.
