Sam
Another week had flown by and it was almost finished. I was holed up in the knitting room on my lunch break trying to make the finishing touches on the blanket. I was deep in concentration when a slamming door brought me back to reality. My head jerked up as I twisted my body to see who was at the door. My eyes widened as I saw the person standing before me.
"Tyler?!" I twisted even more to get a better look at the doorway and ended up falling out of my chair.
"Hey Sam." He greeted shyly as he walked slowly towards me.
I quickly stood up and brushed myself off.
"So how are you?"
"I'm. . . I don't know." he sighed. "I was angry for the longest time but now I just don't know."
"Oh." was all I could say,
Usually I had some advice or words of wisdom but today I had none. We stood in awkward silence for a while before Tyler spoke.
"I want to see my grandmother."
He said it so quietly that at first I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly.
"You do?" I questioned lightly, careful not to say something that might upset him.
"Yeah. I need to."
