I sat in the chair to the right of her bed and began to fumble around in my pocket until I found them.
"Grammy, look at these." I handed her the stack.
She flipped through each one and not a single emotion spread across her face like I thought it would. She truly didn't remember.
"Hey that's me!" she exclaimed, pointing to the right.
"Yea, it's you and that's me over there see"
Grammy continued looking through each photo, commenting on unusual things that she spotted but other than that, it was like she wasn't even looking at photos of her own family. It was more of a neutral thing.
"I'm really sorry I can't remember anything about these times. They seem like they were fun."
I let a sad smile slide on my face as she handed me the pictures.
"They were."
