"YOU COULD'VE DIED, ZUKO."
Cheyenne's POV:
While we were working on our shift at the tea shop I heard a man who approached Iroh. "So you are the genius behind this incredible brew. The whole city is buzzing about you! I hope Pao pays you well." Said the mentioned man."Good tea is my own reward," Iroh said as he smiled, he's so humble. "But it doesn't have to be the only reward. How would you like to have your own tea shop?" Said the man, who I noticed was rich due to his expensive rings. I gasped. Iroh's tea shop? That would be amazing!
"My own tea shop? This is a dream come true." Pao overheard the conversation and joined in. "What's going on here? Are you trying to poach my tea maker?" he asked defensibly as he moved his arms around in the air.
"Sorry, Pao, but that's business for you, am I right?" The rich man mentioned. Pao was sweating as he stammered. "Mushi, if you stay I'll... Make you the assistant manager." He said as he almost begged Iroh. I snorted as I left for the back of the shop, to go and tell Zuko, of course.
"You have to come to see what's going on," I said as I dragged him by his arm. Once we got in Iroh looked at us. "Did you guys hear? This guy wants to give us our own tea shop in the upper ring of the city."
"That's right, kiddos. Your life is about to change for the better." Said the rich man. I smiled. "I'm very happy for you, Uncle Iroh," I said as I gave him a small hug. Zuko walked past us towards the door. "I'll try to contain my joy." He said sarcastically. He then headed out. I rolled my eyes as I followed him.
"Dramatic much, Zuzu?" I asked as I stood next to him. "Yeah, whatever. I really could care less about this tea shop thing." I sighed, tired from listening to Zuko complain about everything daily.
Suddenly a paper landed in front of us. Zuko grabbed it and we both saw it was a missing sign. A missing sign about Appa, Aang's flying bison. Zuko growled as he looked around to see where the poster came from. I put my hand on his shoulder and he turned his head to look at me.
"Stop it, not right now. Let Iroh have something nice, don't ruin it for pride. Okay?" I was begging for Zuko to let the bison thing go. He eyed me and then sighed, as he saved the poster on his apron. "I'll let it go for today." He said.
After our long shift, we finally got home. Once we got there I imminently left to sleep, leaving Zuko and Iroh alone. I fell asleep as fast as I laid down. Little did I know that while I was sleeping Zuko was being an ass again. Suddenly I felt as if someone woke me up. I grunted as I slowly opened my eyes.
"Zuko...?" I said as I stared at the blurry figure before me. "No, Cheyenne, Zuko left for the bison." As soon as I heard those words come out of Iroh's mouth, I instantly stood up. "Well then, let's go stop him."
We followed Zuko around until he got to a cell. Iroh and I stayed close behind him as he entered the cell that Appa was in. Appa growled aggressively as he saw Zuko. "You're mine, now." I heard him say as Iroh opened the door.
Iroh and I got in and we closed the door, with Zuko pointing his swords at us. "Uncle? Cheyenne?" He questioned as he stared at us confused. "So, the blue spirit. I wonder who could be behind that mask. Where is your fellow companion?" I gulped as I heard Iroh mention me.
Zuko sighed as he took the mask off, revealing his angry expression. "What are you doing here?" He asked as he looked at us. "That was just what I was going to ask you," I said as I stepped further. "I remember you say 'I'll let it go for today... Didn't you?"
He growled as he looked away. Iroh stepped further too. "What do you plan to do now that you've found the Avatar's bison? Keep it locked in our new apartment? Should I go put on a pot of tea for him?" Iroh said, slowly getting angrier, which Zuko didn't seem to notice.
"First I have to get it out of here." I could not believe Zuko. "And then what? You never think these things through. This is exactly what happened when you captured the avatar at the North Pole. You had him, and then you had nowhere to go!" Iroh said as he screamed.
"I would've figured something out!" I sadly looked at him. "How do you know that? If it wasn't for them you would have been left there freezing to death. You could've died, Zuko." I said, tears building up from the impotence that the situation made me feel.
Zuko's look softened as he saw a tear stream down my cheek. "I know my own destiny." He said while I shook my head. "Is it your own destiny? Or is it a destiny someone else has tried to force on you?" Iroh answered.
"Do you want to do any of this, Zuko? Is this really what you want for your future? For our future?" I said as I let tears flow freely down my cheeks. "Stop it, both of you. I have to do this." He said as he looked at me with desperation in his eyes. "I'm begging you, Zuko," I said, still crying.
"It's time for you to look inward and begin asking yourself the big questions. Who are you, and what do you want?" Zuko screamed as he threw his swords and mask to the floor. I walked until I was alongside him. "Zuko..." I said softly as I brushed my hand with his. He looked at me and I smiled, trying to reassure him that everything was going to be okay.
"Let's free him." I heard him softly say, which made me smile through my tears. I hugged him tightly. "Thank you, Zuko," I whispered in his ear as he hugged me back. We let go of each other as we looked at the bison. "Let's do this fast, I doubt the guards haven't noticed intruders," I said as I froze de chains. After I froze them Zuko broke them with his sword, and we successfully freed Appa.
Once we freed the bison we hurriedly left to the shore of the lake. "Well, that was crazy," I said as we stood waiting for Iroh to come with us. "You did the right thing, nephew." Said Iroh once he was outside. I smiled proudly as I looked at Zuko.
Zuko was holding the blue spirit mask. "Let go of it," Iroh said, to which Zuko threw it into the water. I stepped forward and I held his hand. "You did well, Zuzu," I said looking towards where the mask fell.
