On the night of a big storm, a young girl ran away from her home. She was running from an arranged marriage with an evil man. She had to abandon everything she had. Her status, her money, her family, and her nation.

On the other side of the world, a young boy left his tribe. Fearing his death since he was one of the few benders left. He left without looking back, out of fear. He hated the fire nation., but he couldn't do anything about the raids in his village.

They both hid in the earth kingdom, the only place where the fire nation couldn't access easily. One day as Kanruq walked, he found a girl laying in the dark. She looked injured, and she wasn't moving. "Hello?" He asked, but got no response at all.

He approached the girl and saw she was unconscious. He saw she was a traveller, so he decided to take her with him to his small hut. When he got there he healed her wounds with his waterbending, carefully.

Lara woke up in a strange place. It was not where she remembered being last. "Hello." Instantly she turned around and looked at the boy next to her, who had spoken. "I found you in the village, you were unconscious, so I healed your wounds." Lara looked at him up and down. "Thanks."

Time passed and the two young souls fell in love. And out of their love, a child was born. She was a beautiful girl. She had big blue eyes like his father, but in appearance, she was just like her mother. But she was very sick. Her father prayed to the moon spirit, so she could be cured.

One night, the little girl died. Both parents cried, and Kanruq prayed again. He begged the spirits to give him her daughter back. A very bright light appeared in front of their daughter. "This girl will be our saviour. She is destined to fight alongside the avatar for harmonic conversion. I'll give her a second bending, waterbending."

The spirit disappeared, but the dead girl started to glow. Once the glowing stopped the baby started to cry. Both parents were shocked. "She's alive..." Kanruq mentioned while Lara held the baby in her arms.

*fourteen years later*

Cheyenne had caught another criminal. She was, at that time, the most feared bounty hunter in the fire nation. Her mother had died the year before, and she was left with nothing. She was homeless for a couple of months until she decided to do something about her poverty. She started to catch criminals that appeared on the posters, and that way she became very well known.

She spread the word that she was looking for the avatar, to see if she found any news about the disappeared avatar, but nobody was even searching. Once she was in her house, and she got startled by fire nation royal guards. "The Fire Lord demands your presence at the palace."

She looked at the guards confused. "I didn't do anything wrong." She commented, a bit scared. "We know. He still demands your presence, so if you don't mind we'll escort you there." Cheyenne nodded and walked alongside the guards. The citizens of the capital city stared at her.

She rolled her eyes, knowing this would make her look like a criminal. She saw the change of status and class as they approached the palace. She was on the rich side of the city. She kept her gaze high, to look more confident. "We are here." Said the guard as they stopped before the big gates of the palace.

The gates opened, and she saw a big hallway that led to the throne room. She looked around her, it was beautiful, even if it was the home of a monster. They got to the door that would lead her to the throne room. The guards opened the door and she walked in.

The Fire Lord sat on his throne surrounded by flames. She walked to the centre of the room. "I heard you wanted to see me, sir." She got straight to the point, as always. "You're looking for the avatar, right?" Cheyenne nodded. "Well, some of the most gracious Liuteanants and generals told me you are an extraordinary bounty hunter." She turned around and saw an old man with a long beard.

"I banished my son, and I sent him to search for the avatar. General Iroh asked for you to be part of his crew." Cheyenne looked at the man who she guessed was Iroh. "How much gold will you pay me?"

"The weight of an armadillo bear in gold." Cheyenne sighed and kept quiet for a while. "Okay, I accept." She said looking at both of the men. She wasn't planning on giving the avatar to the fire nation, she was planning on fighting with him.

Because that was her destiny.

Chapter 1: Finished.
