VII: Pirates

"I HATE PIRATES!"

Cheyenne's POV:
I was on deck as I watched Zuko train. At first, I did it to tease him but as time passed I just did it because I found it attractive. Zuko was the only guy my age I saw regularly in two years, so my hormones went a little crazy when I saw him with his training robes. This didn't necessarily mean I liked him... Right?

Suddenly we were interrupted as we felt the ship changing the course. "Someone's changing our course." Said Zuko angry. We went to the control room. Once we got there Zuko started screaming.

"What's the meaning of this mutiny? No one told you to change course." I stood next to Iroh as Zuko spoke. "Actually, someone did. I assure you, it is a matter of utmost importance, Prince Zuko." Said Iroh.

"Is it something to do with the avatar?" Said Zuko, which made me roll my eyes. "Even more urgent." My eyes widened at Iroh's answer. "it seems I-- I've lost my lotus tile." I facepalmed. "Really? We're changing course for a lotus tile?" I asked.

"Lotus Tile?" Asked Zuko confused. "For my pai gow game. Most people think the lotus tile is insignificant. But it is essential for the unusual strategy that I employ." Answered Iroh.

"You've changed our course for a stupid lotus tile?" I smiled as I saw Zuko was furious. "See, you, like most people, underestimate its value. Just give me ten minutes to check the merchants at this port of call. Hopefully, they'll have the lotus tile in stock and I can get on with my life." Zuko breathed deeply before he threw fire from his mouth. "I'm lucky to have such an understanding nephew." Said Iroh with a smile.

Zuko just grumbled before he grabbed my hand, as he dragged me out of the room with him. I slightly blushed when he grabbed my hand. 'Why am I blushing?' I thought. We stopped once we got on deck, again.

"Uncle is always doing these things! We changed course for a lotus tile!" Zuko was still holding my hand, and when I realized it I blushed harder. "I-- Uh Zuko... You're still holding my hand..." Zuko looked at our intertwined hands and he blushed too. He let go of my hand and we both looked away.

This was awkward. We were in silence. I decided to leave the situation. "Uh- Well, I'll go to my room. See you later." I said. Zuko nodded, still looking away. I walked to my room and stayed there for hours.
