"IF MY MOTHER WAS ALIVE, SHE'D KILL YOU WITH HER OWN BARE HANDS!"
Cheyenne's POV:
As we got closer to the northern water tribe I felt nauseous. Zhao, Iroh, and I were on deck. "This will truly be one for the history books, generals. Just think, centuries from now, people will study the great admiral Zhao, who destroyed the last of the water tribe civilization. You're lucky you're here to see it." I rolled my eyes. Lucky? Yeah, sure."Be careful what you wish for, admiral. History is not always kind to its subjects." Zhao then turned to look at Iroh. "I suppose you speak from experience. But, rest assured, this will be nothing like your legendary failure at Ba Sing Se." I glared at Zhao since I could not attack him.
I looked at Iroh, who had a sad expression as he remembered his military failure. "I hope not, for your sake." I rested my hand on Iroh's shoulder. "Tell the captains to prepare for the first strike." Iroh and I left under Zhao's orders. "Asshole," I muttered under my breath when we were far enough.
We sent the first ship, which was going to shoot fireballs at the ice wall the tribe had. To be honest, they were on a suicide mission since it was the only ship going. I watched as the ship parted, and impatience was written all over my face.
I was worried about Zuko and Zhao. If Zhao succeded, we were all going to be living unbalanced. But, if Zuko succeded we wouldn't have the avatar. Well, now that I think of it, Aang would die if either of them succeeded. Not only that, but my second bending could go away since the north is the only place where there are still lots of benders. I could be the last bender of my bending.
We waited for a while, and then we approached the ice wall, but this time with all our ships. "It's almost twilight, admiral. As your military consultant, I must advise you to halt your attack. The waterbenders draw their power from the moon, and it's nearly full tonight. You should wait and resume the attack at daybreak."
"Yeah, as a waterbender, I must say that going during nighttime is pretty stupid. There are not a couple of benders as in the South, most of these people are benders. As your second general, I recommend waiting until it's daytime." Zhao glared at me. 'Jeez, I forgot you're a sexist piece of-' I thought as I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, I'm well aware of the moon problem. And I'm working on a solution. But for now, daybreak it is." All of our ships were anchored, to wait until it was daytime. After a while, Iroh and I went where Zuko was going to sail.
He was going to get into the tribe, and he was going to try and kidnap the avatar. We got into the room, and as soon as we did Iroh spoke. "If you're fishing for an octopus, dear nephew, you need a tightly woven net, or he will squish through the tiniest hole and escape."
"I don't need your wisdom right now, uncle." Zuko was not facing us as he spoke. "I'm sorry, I just nag you because... Well, ever since I lost my son..." His voice broke as he pronounced those words.
