"Izuku .." Aizawa said, deciding enough was enough. "You need to get back to your hospital room."

Izuku sucked in a harsh breath, clinging onto Sensei more. The older male let out a huff but he ignored the pain.

"Izu~" he cooed softly, carding his hands through the greenette's hair. "You need to go back to your room. You should be on bed rest."

Tears fell from Izuku's emerald orbs as he tried to bury his face into Sensei's chest. "But I don't want to leave." He whispered. "I don't want to leave you again.." his voice broke. "I just got you back."

"I don't want you to go either." Sensei swallowed hard. "I would give anything just to be able to spend time with you and Rose, but we're unable to do that right now because we're both in bad shape. But get better alright? Let them help you recover that way I can do the same and we can be together again."

"Okay..." Izuku whispered in defeat and leaned back, unlinking his arm from around Sensei. A pain panged his heart as Aizawa helped him back into the wheelchair.

He didn't know how long he had been in there, but it wasn't enough for him.

He thought Sensei was dead for years, but after he returned, he only got to speak to him for a few minutes. He wanted to hold him closer. He still had a million questions. Questions that no one else has answers to.

His heart dropped lower and lower as he was wheeled out of his room, tears rolling down his face endlessly. A hole carved it's way into his heart and Izuku ached for it to be filled again.

"You'll see him soon." Aizawa tried to reassure but Izuku wasn't listening.

He looked over his shoulder to see Sensei sadly watching him go. He gave the white haired man a small wave before the door banged shut behind them.

Izuku righted himself in the chair and took a deep breath. He tried to keep his exhale steady but it was shaky and he cursed himself for it.

Goodbyes were so hard. Even if they weren't forever. Even if they weren't the last one. It still hurt. It still left Izuku wondering what could have been if there was more time.

Izuku shut his eyes and leaned his head back.

After arriving at his room, he was at least grateful to see Shinsou there.

The purple haired boy smiled in relief when his boyfriend finally came back and he stood up to help Aizawa haul him back into the bed.

"Where did you guys go?" He asked curiously. "You told me to get something to eat and come back, yet he was gone."

Aizawa just shrugged. "It's not my place to tell you anything. It's kind of..private."

Shinsou frowned but nodded in understanding. He had promised Izuku that he was going to take this relationship slowly. If there was stuff Izuku didn't want him to know, then all he could do was hope that one day Izuku would let him in a bit more to tell him those things. But for now, he was afraid of ruining things by overstepping.
