When Aizawa awoke, he was startled to realize that he had been woken up by the delicious smell of cooking breakfast.
Hizashi made breakfast a lot, but he knew that his loving husband had done a lot of hero work the previous day and was exhausted. His suspicions were confirmed when he looked beside him and was met with the beautiful sight of the sleeping blonde.
Then it hit him.
"Damn problem child." He muttered and climbed out of bed, rubbing his eyes tiredly. What time was it?
He looked at the glowing numbers on his clock to see that it was a few minutes before 7:30. What time did he wake up?
He pulled a shirt on over his naked chest and pulled his black hair into a ponytail as he made his way to the kitchen.
Sure enough, the greenette was moving around the kitchen, cooking up what seemed to be a feast. He was wearing the pajamas he had given him. The sweatpants and band t-shirt originally belonged to Shouta himself, but he grew out of them a long time ago.
"What are you doing?" He asked, voice raspy with sleep.
Izuku flinched, dropping the spatula he was holding, the clang echoing.
He glared over his shoulder at Aizawa and he narrowed his emerald eyes at him. "Mind actually touching the floor with your feet so I can hear you next time?"
Aizawa chuckled and pulled a stool out from the island and sat down, resting his chin on his palm, a bored expression plastered on his face as he watched the Vigilante continue to work and hum to himself.
"What are you making?" Aizawa asked when his stomach growled.
Izuku rolled his eyes. "Food."
"What kind of food?"
Izuku glared at him again. "The kind you eat."
"What kind of food I eat specifically?" He asked childishly.
"Breakfast."
Giving up, Aizawa clicked his tongue and rested his forehead on the cool surface.
A few minutes later he felt arms slither around his waist and he felt a smile twitch on his lips.
"Good morning." Hizashi cooed, voice also still raspy from sleep.
Aizawa picked up his head and craned it so that he could kiss his husband good morning. "Good morning."
Izuku gagged. "You know," he started as he took the coffee out of the machine. "Kissing someone without brushing your teeth first is how most gum diseases travel."
"How would you know?" Aizawa grumbled as he watched the boy pour some coffee in a mug he didn't recognize. Actually, now that he thought about it, most of the food this kid was making, he didn't remember buying.
With a roll of his eyes Izuku responded, "I guess sometimes you have to bite someone to remind them you have teeth too."
"You won't have good enough teeth in the future if you keep drinking coffee." Hizashi stated and sat on a stool beside Aizawa. "Can't you start the day with something more healthy? Like an energy drink or a protein shake!"
"One," Izuku said as he sipped the coffee he was holding. "I have no future." He took another sip. "Two," he sipped again. "Why, yes, I could start my day without coffee. But I like functioning properly and being able to remember things like how to say words and put pants on."
Present Mic laughed, amused by this kid's level of sarcasm and sassyness. But it was a quick chuckle because the statement before his joke was blunt and honest.
