Izuku wasn't completely sure what to do now that he was there. He stood in front of the familiar home, his hands shaking furiously at his sides. He could...do this, right?
Right?
His breath began to quicken, sweat building on his brow. How was this supposed to go? What was he going to say? He hasn't spoken to these people since he and his dad had to move to the badder parts of the neighborhood after his dad got fired from his job. He was homeschooled after that. He wasn't physically or mentally able to take any of the bullying.
The words they said only added to his self hatred and he was sure he couldn't take anymore.
It was the words that stuck. He was numb, though. He could barely feel their hits when they beat him up. It was those words that continued to rip at him. Leaving him utterly broken, giving him no time to repair himself.
He took shaky breaks, attempting to calm himself, but it did little to steady his pounding heart and stop his hands from twitching uncontrollably. Nothing seemed to work, his panic spreading throughout his body.
If he didn't ring the doorbell that was intimidating him, he was just gonna back out.
With one last deep breath, he forced himself to ring the doorbell. After a minute of no response he rang it again, this time knocking, too.
Immediately, shouting was heard from inside.
"Brat! Open the fucking door!"
The familiar voice of Mitsuki, his mom's best friend screamed out. He smiled sadly to himself. Call it weird but he found comfort in recognizing the aggression in her voice. It was..soothing.
The audible sound of a door being thrown open echoed from inside followed by a loud, "HELL NO! IM STUDYING WITH SHITTY HAIR AND DUNCE FACE, OPEN IT YOURSELF YOU OLD HAG!"
"KATSUKI! IF YOU DON'T OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR I'LL EMBARRASS YOU IN FRONT OF YOUR FRIENDS!"
"ONE THEY'RE NOT MY FRIENDS, TWO YOU ARE A FUCKING EMBARRASSMENT AND THREE YOU'RE DOWNSTAIRS SO WHY DO I HAVE TO DO IT?!"
"BECAUSE I SAID SO! AND DON'T GET SMART WITH ME, KATSUKI!"
Izuku sighed to himself. He had forgotten how dysfunctional the Bakugou's were. He turned to leave but before he could the door was thrown open and he whipped his head around, his emerald eyes meeting crimson.
He immediately slipped behind his cold mask and stared into the eyes of his childhood best friend.
Bakugou Katsuki.
Bakugou was....shocked. When he opened the door, the last person he expected to see was Izuku.
"Deku?" He muttered confusedly, tilting his head to the side and looked the boy up and down.
Izuku was slightly uncomfortable under his gaze but he suppressed it and stayed stoic. "Kacchan!" He exclaimed. "It's good to see you."
Bakugou's eyes narrowed at the greenette, confusion still visible on his features. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Before Izuku could respond, Katsuki was pushed out of the way by a savage blonde mama who smiled brightly at Izuku, eyes expressing how happy she was to see him again.
The screen door was literally kicked down, Izuku barely being able to jump out of the way. Before he could process what was happening, he was enveloped in a hug. The overwhelming, yet nice smelling, scent of Mitsuki's perfume filling his nostrils.
She squeezed him tightly, tears rushing down her face. "Izu!" She screamed, catching the attention of some bystanders. They looked over, slightly scared at the shriek. After a glance they just shrugged and continued minding their business. It wasn't abnormal for screaming to come from the Bakugou's household.
