Dread.
That's what Izuku felt as he stood in the middle of the front entrance to UA, staring up at the intimidating building.
Students moved around him, they're laughter flooding his ears. This was it. Here he was.
And he was dreading it.
He felt an arm wrap around his shoulder and he looked up with a yelp of surprise. He calmed down when his eyes met comforting red orbs. "Oh hey there Jr." He greeted, a smile of relief lighting up his bummed expression.
With Jr, Kirishima, Ashido and Shinsou, maybe this school wouldn't be completely terrible.
"How have you been?" Jr asked and ruffled Izuku's green curls before pulling his arm back to his side.
Izuku blushed slightly and shrugged. "Fine. It's nice to be out of the hospital."
"Do you know where you're going to be staying?" The red head asked, voice laced with concern.
"For now, I'm under house arrest basically. I'll be in a room in a building that is under police surveillance 24/7." He said and scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "I'll be driven to and from school by a personal police guard. Today an exception because I was in the hospital."
"Dang." Jr said as the two began to walk towards the buildings. "That's tough. Since I've only done this vigilante thing twice, Im on house arrest too but at my own house."
"That's to be expected. I've been chased for years."
"I've taken notice to all your fans," Jr teased and the two shared a laugh.
In the hallway, they were joined by Kirishima. "Hey guys! It's good to see you Midoriya."
Izuku smiled and waved to his friend. "Hey Kirishima. It's good to see you too."
"Do you need help finding your classes?" He asked.
Izuku nodded. "That would be great, thank you."
"No problem." Kirishima grinned. "It's, like, super cool to have you attending here. It's gonna be so fun to train with you."
"Yeah," Izuku said, half sarcastically and rolled his eyes. It wasn't that he didn't want to train with his friends, he thought that part was incredible, but it's the part of attending school that truly bugged him.
Maybe he was just being too negative, but he honestly didn't want to come here. It just made him miss the life he was gonna lose even more.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kirishima asked, taking notice of Izuku's body language and he felt a bit hurt.
Catching this, Izuku blushed and waved his hands around frantically. "No,no,no. That's not what I meant! Of course I love the idea of training with friends, it's just I didn't want to go here."
"You mean UA?" He asked and tilted his head. Why would someone NOT want to come here?
"Yeah, UA."
Instead of asking though, he went silent. The walk to the classroom seemed to drag on forever as Izuku's anxiety only seemed to grow.
Would he be good enough for this school? Would his past put him apart from everyone else? Would he be able to make friends even with his anti-social he was?
As the 1-A door appeared down the hall Izuku gulped and grabbed on tightly to the straps of his book bag.
"It'll be alright." Jr tried to assure the greenette. "We'll be out of here before you know it!"
