And I am done being a victim!!
*googles how to bite back a mosquito*Outside, digging through the dumpster, was a homeless man dressed in rags. "Is that Jamie?" The nurse said in disbelief, getting on her tippy toes and squinting her eyes to see out the window further.
"We told him he couldn't keep doing this." The other nurse breathed out and slipped her gloves off. "Come on Avery. We're done here, let's go remind him that he can't keep coming around here. He's scaring the patients."
"Right." Avery said and slipped out of her own gloves. Together, they closed his window's curtain and dressed Izuku, then wheeled the cart with all his bath things away, turning the lights off on their way out.
His hospital room filled with darkness, no sounds other than his soft breathing and the machines working around him. He hadn't woken up just yet, but he was being given a few hours. But still, he wasn't doing good. Things weren't looking like they were on his side. His heart was steady and the machines kept his lungs working, but his skin was pale. His warmth was gone. If things didn't start changing, he'd be given up on. But I mean..could you blame them? If there wasn't the slight movement of Izuku's chest when he breathed, he would've already been passed as a corpse. This wasn't living. This was..this was something. But it wasn't living.
The silence was interrupted by the creaking of the sliding door as it was slowly slid open. A man with a hoodie snuck in, mask over his face. His features were hidden by the dark of the room and his hair was covered by his black hood.
He stood casually by the, now closed, door and looked around. The soft sound of his breathing blended into Izuku's own as he just stood there, watching him. He didn't reach for the light to turn it on, and he wasn't a doctor because he didn't go to check on anything. He just stood there.
Seconds ticked by with him just creepily standing there and staring. His eyes shot direction to direction, looking around at everything. He noted the machines, the chairs, the floor tile, the bed, the sheets, the boy, the window, the curtains. Why was he taking in every details? No one could tell you.
After digging his hands into his pockets, he walked forward and approached Izuku's bed. His footsteps were light. You wouldn't be able to make out his figure because of how dark it was, but he had to be either a particularly small man or a skilled one for his feet to be so silent.
He swiftly made it to the bed and looked over Izuku's sprawled figure. His dark eyes looked over his body, taking in every bandage. Every blood stain. Every patch of pale skin.
He didn't show any reactions at the sight, just moved closer to the top of the bed. He reached out a hand, but unlike anyone who cares, he didn't track his fingers through his hair or caress his face. He didn't even go for his hand. Instead, he slipped something into his IV.
He watched closely as the liquid continued to regularly be delivered into Izuku's arm without anything special happening.
He didn't leave until a slight blue spark came from the pulsing vein in his arm.

"Try to get some sleep, Shinsou." Hizashi said, poking his head out the car window. Shinsou stood on the sidewalk outside his house. The blonde hero gave him a smile that he so desperately wanted to return, but he just couldn't. It seemed he could only smile at Izuku without anything holding him back.
"You need it." The hero added and stuck his head back into the car, still smiling softly.
Shinsou took a deep breath. "I'll try." He said, voice low. He knew he needed it, but it wasn't up to him. His body was the thing that kept him awake. That and the anxiety that was literally eating him alive all night as be stayed up thinking about everything that could be going on with Izuku. And now, with this 24 hour wake-up-or-die thing, he knew he had a lot to think about.
