You sat back on your small little white desk that was in your room adjacent to your bedroom window. You were trying to study for one of your midterms, frustrated out of your mind.
"I hate college." You would say to literally no one, but you were slowly losing your mind and reciting the same words on your text over and over again was giving you a slight headache and you just wanted to rip your head apart at that point.
You sighed as you decided to get up from your seat and walk around your room to stretch out your stiff muscles. Your window was open so there was a nice gentle breeze flowing through your room, giving you a breath of fresh air.
You felt more relaxed as you decided to take this much deserved break. You turned to pull out your phone from your night stand as you put it there to ensure you wouldn't get distracted. You turned to one of your playlists to play a random song to fill the void of silence.
You hit shuffle and let the speaker of your phone blast the soft melody. You sway to the music, almost stopping as you remember your apology dinner with Jungkook hearing this song again. You smiled thinking about it. It was kinda crazy how you met out of such a weird situation and actually managed to become good friends so far.
As you continued to sway to the song, someone cleared their throat causing you to quickly turn around in fright.
"Am I interrupting something?" D-man smirks as he steps through the window and lands right in your room.
Your eyes widen as you look down to see yourself wearing your pink bunny pajamas. "D-man? What are you doing here? There wasn't a crime nearby, was there?" You asked, hesitantly getting closer to the superhero.
You would think after all this time, you would have gotten used to his presence, but nope it's going to take a while for you to register that an actual superhero made you his personal nurse.
He chuckles. "No. Actually I was just in the area and wanted to stop by. How are you?" He asks.
"Uhh I'm good?" You asked, slightly confused. "Oh! How's your bicep, is it healing okay?"
"Yup! Thanks to your stitches, I've actually been recovering well." He smiles.
You nod your head. "Good. That's great news to hear actually." You fiddle with your fingers a little not knowing what else to say. This is the first time he showed up to your room without being badly bruised up or anything. Normally you just treat him with whatever you can and then he would go on his merry way so why is it that he's here now?
"Nice song choice." He says as you just realized that the song was still playing on the back. You turned to look at your phone before looking back at him.
You chuckled "I didn't realize D-man likes indie rock too."
"I'm a man of unique taste." He smiles.
"Uh huh." You nodded again. The song was soon coming to a stop and you quickly paused your playlist before continuing. "Uhh Mr. D-man?" You start to ask.
"Please you can just call me D-man. The 'Mr' makes me sound so old."
"Okay. D-man?"
"Yeah Y/n?" He asks.
"Okay, this has been plaguing my mind for the last few weeks and I know this all happened by random chance but why?"
"That could be a reference to many things Y/n. You need to be a little more specific."
"All right. It's just... Well here's the thing." He continues to look at you, insisting you keep going on.
You take a deep breath before getting straight to the point. "It's just why do you keep coming back here? I mean I get the first time, but every time something happens to you, you show up here and I'm just so confused. I mean I'm not even a real nurse." You finally say, letting out all the thoughts that've been on your mind.
