Chapter 18

Two weeks go by and after your first incredible date with Jungkook, you two went out for a second and even a light third date. It was crazy to think that you now had a boyfriend, but you couldn't be more grateful. You never thought that Jimin's crazy setup could actually work, but here you are holding hands and feeling all giddy as Jungkook walked you to your next lecture hall.

"So I'll text or call you later. Have fun in class and don't get distracted!" Jungkook lightly scolds in a slightly protective boyfriend manner which you couldn't help but roll your eyes.

"I won't don't worry. I'll talk to you later, alright?" You smiled.

He smiled back. "Alright. Bye Y/n."

"What happened to giving me a cute nickname after our third date?" You tease him.

You saw him scratch the nape of his neck as he looked at you embarrassed. "Well I thought about it and I just don't know anything without it sounding too cringey."

You chuckle. "Well nicknames in general are cringey."

"Uh yeah they are babe?" He says in a more questioning tone.

"Jimin calls me babe."

"Ah darling?"

"Are we fifty years old?"

He sighs as he nervously chuckles. "Well I give up. I'm not good at this."

You smiled. "You're too cute sometimes. Anyway I'll get going. Later Kookie." You said before quickly going to class.

"You excited for Jimin's performance tomorrow." Jungkook asks you over the phone as you were currently sitting on your bed talking to him in the dark.

"Of course I am. I can finally see him again. I swear he's been so stressed out for this performance, I haven't seen him in like three straight days." You sighed as you turned to look at the small framed picture of you and Jimin smiling when you were in high school on your nightstand.

"Is Jimin always like this when the big performance comes?" Jungkook asks.

"All the time, but this time must be more serious than I thought. He's never gone away for practice for this long. I rarely saw him at home for the last month."

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure Jimin just wants to make the best of it since it's going to be his last performance before he graduates." Jungkook reassures you which makes you smile.

"Yeah, you're right." You look at the time, seeing it getting late and hope that Jungkook was right and it wasn't anything more than that. "You have to work on your project tomorrow in the morning, don't you? Let's go to sleep before we stay up too late again."

"I rather talk to you than worry about a project though." He says and you could almost feel him smiling through the phone.

"Well I don't wanna be responsible if you slip up something with your fancy computer science coding or whatever."

"Trust me I never slip up."

"Alright whatever you say." You said in a singsong way. "But seriously get some sleep, I'll see you tomorrow at Jimin's performance."

"Okay fine. Goodnight sweets."

You laugh. "Sweets?"

"I'm trying." He says which causes you to laugh even more. "Alright goodnight."

"Night." And with that you hang up and put your phone on your nightstand looking at that picture one more time before drifting off to sleep. You really hope everything is going to be okay.
