The Swan-Jones House

"So you were at the library trying to figure out who the new Dark One is." Violet-Marie said, leaning back onto the couch. "Yep." Hope replied. "Alright, who do you think it is?" Violet-Marie asked, crossing her arms. Emma and Killian looked at each other. "We have no idea." she said. "We think that it's someone from your realm." Killian said. Violet-Marie looked at Sera and Micah. "Well, that would make sense." she said. "Yeah, it really would." Sera responded. "We faced the new Dark One from a distance when we were at home." Micah replied. "That's what  our terrible experience with them last time." Sera continued. Emma looked at them. "What did happen with them?" she asked. Violet-Marie leaned forward. "I would like to know as well." she said. "Well," Micah started. "It was about two years ago." he said. Violet-Marie winced, when she saw Emma looking at her, "Two years ago, was a bad time for me." she said quickly. "Can I continue?" Micah asked. "Sure." Violet-Marie replied.

The Forgotten Realms, two years ago, Center Kingdom

"We have to keep moving!" Micah yelled, grabbing Sera's hand. The two of them ran over shadowed hills and sand dunes. "Why are they chasing us?!" Sera asked, out of breath. "I have no idea." Micah replied, breathing hard. The two of them broke apart when a fireball hit the ground about two feet behind them. They kept running, looking behind them at the flying figure surrounded by smoke. "Who are they?" Sera asked. "Again!" Micah replied, glaring at her. "I have no idea!" The Dark One sent yet another fireball at the two kids. Micah and Sera began running faster than they had before. "Quick!" Micah said, pointing to a lake. "Sera, can you control you magic? If so, you can create an air bubble around us and we can be at least a little protected from the Dark One." Sera nodded. "Yeah, I'll try." she responded, out of breath. The two of the them jumped into the lake. Sera lifted her hands and a bubble of light pink magic enveloped them, safely filling with air. The two sunk to the bottom of the lake, holding onto each other. The Dark One hovered over the lake, waiting.

After an hour, the Dark One left the lake to go, elsewhere. Micah nodded to Sera. Sera nodded back and the two raised back up to the surface of the pond. The two of them gasped for breath, thanking the stars that they were safe. Suddenly, the Dark One appeared behind them on land. "Do you really think that I would be so stupid as to let you stay safe?!" It hissed at them.

Micah and Sera suddenly found themselves on their knees in front of the Dark One. "Next time, maybe you'll think before you mess with me." it said, kneeling down in front of them. It pulled out it's dagger. "No one is touching this dagger, but me." it hissed. "Now, to make sure you aren't so stupid next time." Micah and Sera cried out as the Dark One put a slash with it's dagger on each of their arms in the shape of a small crow's feather. "That is to remember me by." it said. Then it vanished in a puff of black smoke.

Present day, The Swan-Jones House

"Wow." Violet-Marie said after hearing their story. "So that's where you got your scar." Emma and Killian looked at each other while Hope went over and hugged Sera. Micah nodded. "We were trying to steal the dagger." he said. Emma got up. "So, I promised my parents that we would meet them at Granny's, do you guys want to come?" she asked, looking at Violet-Marie, Sera and Micah. "Sure." Violet-Marie said, shrugging. Sera and Micah agreed, so the Swan-Jones family (plus Violet-Marie, Micah, and Sera) left the house, grabbing everything they would need.

Granny's

"I'm glad you could make it!" Snow said, hugging her daughter. "We wouldn't miss it!" Emma responded.

"So there is more than one reason we are here." Regina said, once everyone had settled down. "That's true." Snow said, putting a box on the table in front of her. Emma covered her ears and groaned. "Mom!" she said. "Really?" Snow looked at her daughter with loving eyes. "I'm sorry, Ems." she said. Regina saw Emma's face, and she saw how Killian was trying hard not to cover his ears as well. "I have something that might help with that." she said. She took out two rings, each of them hanging from a chain. "These are enchanted to keep the whispers out of your head. As long as you wear them, it should keep the voices out of your head." Regina handed them to Killian and Emma. Everyone watched as Emma and Killian slipped the necklaces over their heads. Snow and David breathed a sigh of relief as they saw Emma visibly relax. Killian let out a sigh of relief. "Bloody hell, Regina, that's brilliant." he said. "I'm glad it works." Snow said, placing her hands on the box.

"We have to find a safer place for the dagger." Snow said, once everyone calmed down a bit. The two former Dark One's looked at each other. "Are you sure about that?" Emma asked. "Yes." Snow replied. "It's not safe with us now that Aimee wants to kill us." Killian nodded. "I guess that makes sense." he said. "So who's going to keep it?" David nodded to Snow, and Snow handed the box to Violet-Marie. "What?" she asked, gasping. "Me? But my mother wants to kill me!" Snow and David nodded. "I'm well aware." Regina said. "But she thinks she's already killed you, so it would be a surprise to her." Violet-Marie nodded. "I guess that makes sense, but I'm not the most trustworthy person." she said. Micah and Sera each put one of their hands on Violet-Marie's shoulders. "You'll be fine." Micah said. "I sure hope so." Violet-Marie replied. She picked up the dagger, testing the weight in her hands. "Are you sure about this?" she asked Regina again. "Yes, positive. We trust you. You would never use the dagger." Regina said, nodding. Violet-Marie sighed. "Alright." she said. "I promise to try to keep it safe."

Granny's, later that night.

Micah and Sera met Violet-Marie outside. "The forest." Violet-Marie said quickly. Micah looked at her. "The realms are reunited, which forest?" Violet-Marie smiled. "The Enchanted Forest." she replied. In a puff of smoke, the three were standing in a hidden clearing in the Enchanted Forest. Violet-Marie's smile fell. She took out the box with the dagger in it. "This is the worst idea they've ever had." she muttered. "It's alright." Sera said. "They don't know your secret, and we're here to keep you grounded." she said. Violet-Marie nodded. She used her magic to lift the dagger in the air, turning it into a harmless necklace. She plucked it out of the air and placed it over her neck. She shuddered as the charm hit the nape of her neck. "I can't believe it." she muttered. Micah hugged her from behind. "One day, they will find out who Faith is." Violet-Marie looked at them. "You know exactly who she is, and you know my secret, why haven't you told?" she asked. Sera and Micah looked at each other. "It's because we trust you, and we know you will do your best. Plus, it's your secret to tell." Sera responded. Violet-Marie lifted her new necklace in her hand. "I just hope that I can be who they want me to be, and not give into temptation. If that were to happen, the United Realms would be doomed." she said somberly. "We can't let that happen."
