The Forgotten Realms, one year ago, before the curse was cast
"My friend, is our plan in action?" Aimee asked, sweeping into the room, approaching a figure hunched over a table covered in potion bottles and magic. "Yes, my queen. I am almost finished with the potions." Aimee nodded. "Good. My daughter thinks that she is going to do my bidding to kill my parents, but how wrong she is indeed." The figure looked up and laughed. "Aimee my dear, how long did you have this planned?" "Oh, Yzma, I've had it planned since Violet-Marie was five years old." Yzma flipped back her hood and grinned into the darkness. "Well, this potion should wake them up," she said, holding up a potion bottle. "And this one should complete their transformation." she said, holding up another one. Aimee smiled. "Perfect." she said. "Now, I have to play my cards just right, otherwise my daughter will catch on, and that wouldn't be good for any of us." Yzma handed Aimee the potion. "No, Yzma, you will keep them. You will be the one to activate them." Yzma stared at Aimee. "Are you sure, my queen?" she asked, bewildered. "Yes, I am sure." Aimee replied. "Now, I must prepare my daughter to cast her curse." "I'll see you in one year, on the other side." Yzma said. "Until the other side." Aimee replied, nodding. Then, she gathered the black fabric of her cloak, and swept out of the room.
The Swan-Jones house, present day
"Violet-Marie?" Emma called up the stairs. "Can we talk to you?" Violet-Marie ran down the stairs. "Sure," she said. "What's up?" "We talked to your mother." David said from his position in the living room. "Oh." Violet-Marie said, pausing. She sat down on the couch and looked at the large group in front of her. "What did she say?" Regina and Zelena looked at each other, while Gideon scratched the back of his head, David and Snow looked at Killian and Emma. "You tell her." Snow said. Emma nodded. "Well, for one, she know's you're alive." Violet-Marie groaned. "Of course she does." she muttered, lightly slapping her hand over her eyes. "Do you know how?" Killian asked. "She's my mother, she knows everything." Killian looked at Emma. Emma nodded to him. "Your mother also said that you are a person of many faces, and that you're dangerous. Do you have any idea what that means?" Emma sat down across from Violet-Marie. Violet-Marie sat up straighter.
"Well, I was the Dark Princess for years, so that may be what she's referring to as dangerous. I did some things I regret while people knew me that way. As for having many faces, I have no idea what she means." Violet-Marie explained. "She also said your friends have many faces." Regina said, crossing her arms. "Well, I don't know what to say for that." Violet-Marie said. Emma nodded. "Thanks." Violet-Marie nodded and smiled. "Can I go?" she asked. "I'm meeting Lucy, Hope, Micah and Sera at Granny's in a little bit." Emma smiled and nodded. "Of course! Have fun!"
After Violet-Marie had left, Emma turned to the others. "She's lying." she said. The group nodded, some sighed. "I don't think she's lying about the dangerous part, but her and her friends having many faces, that could just be that she doesn't want to betray her friends and tell us secrets about them." Emma explained. "I think that she really regrets some parts of her life and she wants to forget them. Like how I want to forget my days as a thief with Neal, and my days in the system." Snow and David looked down as Killian took Emma's hand. Regina turned to Zelena and muttered. "They're the ones who are sorry and sweet, while I'm sick." Zelena stifled a laugh behind her hand.
