Storybrooke

"Welcome to my home!" Emma said, heaving the door open. "Emma!" a man yelled, running down the stairs. "Hey, Killian!" Emma said. She turned to Violet-Marie. "This is my husband, Killian. Killian, this is Violet-Marie." "Hi." Violet-Marie said to Killian. "Hello, las." Killian replied. A girl, about 15 years old, came down the stairs. "Hey mom." She said. "Hey, kid!" she said. "Violet-Marie, this is my daughter, Hope. Hope, this is Violet-Marie." Hope looked at Violet-Marie. "Hey there." "Hi." She responded. "Alright!" Emma said cheerfully. "Violet-Marie, why don't you take the room next to Hope's? It's upstairs to the left." "Thanks." Violet-Marie replied. "No problem!" Violet-Marie grabbed her bags and made her way up the stairs. Hope sighed. "I don't like her." Killian sighed. "Hope, we talked about this. We need her to be here. She's the one who will break the curse." "Yes," Hope replied. "but she only MIGHT break the curse." Emma sighed. "Just try your best, Hope." "Fine, but I don't like iit."

The Forgotten Realms, a two years ago

"I can't take it anymore!" Violet-Marie yelled. "Calm down!" Micah said. "It's only a little thing!" Violet-Marie stormed around her throne. "What do we do?" she asked. "I don't know." Micah replied. The kingdom had been attacked by the Northern Kingdom. "I- I guess I'm going to have to meet with them." The leaders of the Northern Kingdom had requested a meeting with Violet-Marie. Micah sighed. "Alright, I'll let you." Violet-Marie ran over and hugged him. "Thank you! I love you so much!" Micah smiled. "I love you too."

The next day, Violet-Marie was wearing her favorite black dress and red crown. "Are you sure you want to wear that?" Micah asked from the doorway. "Yes," she replied. "I have an image to keep up." "Alright." Micah replied. As Violet-Marie walked into the throne room and sat down, she was slightly surprised to see the King and Queen of the Northern Kingdom already here, but she didn't show it. "Hello." the King said. "Ah, hello King Liam." she said, as if she was simply bored. "You're late!" Queen Eugenia snapped. "I thought this would be easy, but it's as if we're dealing with children!" she spat the last word as if it disgusted her to say it. "Well," Violet-Marie replied in a bored fashion. "You are dealing with a child. I am only twelve years old. And I'm not late, I am on time. You, however, are predictably early." The Queen noticeably growled. "Where is your mother." she asked, through clenched teeth. "Queen Aimee," Violet-Marie corrected "is out on a business meeting with the leader of the Lost Isles. And maybe if you have been paying attention to my kingdom, not just destroying it, you would have known that my mother turned over the kingdom to me. She is still the queen, but I am in charge." The King looked at Violet-Marie. "All due respect, Princess, but the matters we wish to discuss must be faced with a more mature audience."  "Whatever you can say in front of my mother, you can say in front of me." The king sighed. "Fine." he said. "Someone has been ripping out the hearts of people in our village. Five have died and four are dying. What has your kingdom been doing?" "Moi?" Violet-Marie said with an over exaggerated gesture. "Well, I can't say I'm sorry." she said, turning on her chair so her legs were over one arm and she was leaning against the other arm. "That wasn't the kingdom, that was me." she smirked at the shocked expressions on their faces. "I am the Dark Princess, of course." "How could you?!" Queen Eugenia yelled. "Hmm, well, I was just having fun. I was trying out some new boundaries of my magic." In an instant she was standing beside the king, dragging one finger over his arm. "I was just having fun." she said, sticking out her bottom lip in a playful, yet childish manor. "Now," she said, somehow from her throne again. "You can keep this a secret, or you can die." "We can never keep this a secret from our kingdom!" the Queen yelled. "Very well then." Violet-Marie replied.

Violet-Marie looked at the two boxes in front of her. She pulled the black curtain behind her throne apart and observed the red glowing wall behind her. She picked up the two boxes and put them in two empty holes in the wall. Violet-Marie looked behind her at the two people standing in the shadows behind her. "Now," she said with a smirk. "that wasn't so hard, was it?"
