Izu's pov

I woke up, but this time I was back in that place. I was in a room, it was dark. The sound of rats squeaking and scratching fell into my ears. Echoed screams could be heard. The screams of children. The floor is hard and coarse, but my feet started to touch something. It was too thick to be water, but too dark to see. The pool of liquid started getting larger and larger as the screams grew louder to match. Soon my feet were both covered in the liquid and the screams were all I could hear. The sounds of footsteps got closer to where I was. I wasn't alone. The aura in the air screamed danger yet I couldn't move. It all became suffocating, I couldn't breathe. Children's laughter started to overlap their screams. The room started spinning. The sight of the brick walls became clearer. The bars on my right were that of a prison, no it was that of a cage. Soon there was a row of kids at the bars. Their eyes were missing and were just black holes, same for the mouth. Their faces were shouting out despair. They were against the bars with their arms reaching out like mindless bodies. They reminded me of zombies trying to eat. It was horrifying, blood started seeping out of their eyes and mouths. The blood would trickle down the rusty iron bars and pooled over to me. The blood would make a puddle at my feet and slowly go up my legs. I couldn't breathe. My heart was pounding in my chest and the sight was terrifying. They started to scream out.

It started to echo in my head. And then, their blurry faces and facades became clear. I recognized their hair, those tattoos on their wrists. The same tattoo I have. These children were all there. I knew them all. It's my fault they're dead. They were killed right in front of me and I did nothing.
