-Next day-

Izu's pov

Last night was stupid and a bad decision. What if he found out information? What if he took notice of my behavior? What if I wasn't as sneaky as I thought and he saw my size? It wouldn't have ended well. I shouldn't get anywhere near heroes for a while.

I sighed and got up, today I'd head to the library and learn stuff I'm supposed to in school. I went to take a shower in the waterfall a couple minutes away by full sprint. I head off running as fast as I can and get there on time. I quickly take off my clothes and get in. Now with my past you'd expect many many scars, and I'm here to say you are completely right.

They're all from when I was in that fighting ring for 4 years. At first you get a lot but they heal rather quickly. Over the years many of mine have faded into what looks like stretch marks. No one has ever really abused me to the point scars would stay for life. Yes at the orphanage I would get cut and burned and such but those healed quickly and aren't deep enough.

At this point I think it takes someone stabbing me for it to be permanent. In actuality I should thank my small body for still growing, that makes it way easier to heal and such. Over the last few years I don't get hurt all that much from a clear level in higher skill. That makes it easier to explain anything to strangers.

All it takes is "a villain attack when I was little" and they'll pity you and walk away. Abuse doesn't skip their mind when you tell them. Funny thing is that if any more questions arise I can blame it on the people who held me for 4 years. They were around at the time, heroes came and stopped them. I just hope no one looks close enough to notice that those aren't small marks or cuts but in fact scars. It's strange enough that an 11 year-old has a strange skin condition that gives him stretch marks (Yeah cuz that's the truth). I finish up and get into clothes.

I grab my bag with a couple notebooks and pencils and head to the city and into the library. I greet the woman up front, her name was Jessica. She was a petite woman with long red curly/wavy hair that went past her waist and bright yellow amber eyes. She had light freckles all over her cheek and some on her wrists. Her skin was a warm peach limestone. She was young and looked to be in her 20s. She always wore a half up half down hairstyle with a flower crown holding it up. She greets me with a bright smile in which I return.

J- "Hey Izu! I gathered all books from 8th grade to 12th in chemistry and biology in your favorite spot just like you asked!"

I- "Thank you so much Jess. I'll head there now. Next time can you find all your engineering books?"

J- "Of course"

I start heading over. The spot she mentioned was this space in the ceiling that would be used for storage but it was big enough to hold a person. I myself can just climb the shelves and jump in there, but no one should see a kid do that so I ask for a ladder. After a while we developed a schedule where I'd always come on Mondays so she'd always have the ladder up.

In this little nook was a bunch of pillows and cushions with 2 blankets. I talked with the owner of the library about this little place and she agreed and even helped me fix it suitable for a person. The cushions were attached to the walls and floor, there was a window on the back that showed outside. The pillows and blankets were neatly organized, I made sure to clean up after myself.

I made my way there and inside. I grabbed all the books laid out for me and dove in. I opened up the biology books first, they help most in fighting and chemistry is better for support item making. I spent all day there, taking notes and figuring out the subjects. The time went by quickly, I had notebooks filled to the brim and books opened all around me. I looked out the window to see it getting dark. Shit.
