Izu's pov
Wonderful, a giant target on my back. Basically my points are the one hit wonder. I could of course just avoid getting hit at all, but then again what's the fun in that? My quirk is most suited for all of these games, if I can see the head band I can use my quirk to get it. But then what would they do in return when only 1 team wins?
Midn- "First years! These are the rules you will abide by! The game itself will last 15 minutes. Individual point values will be added together to reach your team total. Everyone will know how much you're worth thanks to your headbands. Swipe as many headbands as you can to raise your team's score. Stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up so the more you steal the harder it'll be to manage them. And another thing, even if your headband gets stolen or your team falls down, you can keep playing until the time's up."
People began to murmur about the rules and what to do. I listened closely to their plan making. Losing the headband in the beginning IS better because you have more time, but it's risky. Tsu's right, wait until the teams are made. With my point value I'm going to be left with those who don't have teams of their own.
Midn- "You may use your quirks as much as you like. But there are still rules! Make a team fall on purpose and I'll slap you with a red card. You'll be disqualified! Now, you've got 15 minutes to build your teams. I recommend you get started."
I stayed still and looked around at the prospective teams. No one's going to want to team up with me because of my points. And unlike the other two, I didn't use my quirk in the first round, nor had I been focused on, so nobody has confidence in me.
Ura- "Hey, Shinto! Let's team up!"
Mido- "Uraraka, are you sure? Everyone will be after me because of my points, it isn't the best decision. "
Ura- "If we run away the whole time, then we'll win, right?"
Mido- "Woah. You're either overestimating me or underestimating everyone else here."
Ura- "Phooey! Anyway it's better to team up with people you like!"
That- that was adorable. How can she be that optimistic? That's a lot of hope in such a small body. She reminds me of Suna, how nice. I look around at the students. Iida's already in a group, and most of class 1-A are grouped together.
Mei- "Oh, perfect, you're still alone. And you're the star."
Both me and Uraraka turned around to see a girl with pink hair and steampunk-like goggles.
Mei- "TEAM UP WITH ME, PERSON IN FIRST PLACE!!"
She got right up in my face, so- so close. Who even is she?
Mido- 'Who are you?"
Mei- "I'm a student in the support course. Name's Mei Hatsume!"
Ura- "Oh! You're that weirdo from the obstacle course."
Mei- "We haven't met, but I'd like to use your current fame to my personal advantage."
That was straight forward, I like her already. Her inventions seem pretty cool. I personally didn't see them in action, but beggars can't be choosers. We need a fit number for this game.
Mei- "If I team up with you, then I'll be in the spotlight! Part of the team that everybody is keeping their eyes on! That means my super cute little babies will inevitably be seen by the big company CEOs who're tuning in to the Sports Festival. And following that line of reasoning, this is the BEST way for me and my gadgets to get recruited!"
Ura- "Could you slow down a minute? Did you bring babies here, or... I mean..."
Mei- "Plus, you two will definitely benefit from having me on your team! My babies will be SUPER useful to the both of you-"
