Title Ideas: Separation; Broken Bond; Growing Up Apart

Summary Of Idea: The idea was based on what if the twins were separated (around age 5). Lizzie grew up with Caroline and Josie grew up with Alaric. This happened because Lizzie lost control of her magic in an episode and Josie got hurt. Alaric became fearful of what Lizzie could do and started to think she would become like Kai. So he made a decision that either Lizzie can't be around Josie or Lizzie can't be allowed to do magic. So, Caroline takes Lizzie away with her because she doesn't want her to not be able to use her powers.
Caroline also takes the ascendant because she doesn't trust Alaric with it.
One way the story could go is that Lizzie grows up with her mom, learns magic, and goes to a normal public school. Then, when she's a teenager, an incident happens at her school and Caroline decides it's time for Lizzie to go to the Salvatore Boarding School. When she's there she sees her long-lost twin and her dad for the first time in many years.
Another way is that Caroline goes to New Orleans to Klaus. If Lizzie's 5, Hope would be 7 (season 4 of Originals would be happening). In this situation, Hope and Lizzie would grow up as siblings. If the writer wanted Caroline and Klaus could get married. Possibly Klaus could adopt Lizzie. In the show, Hope went to the Salvatore School and that could still happen, but Lizzie would probably not go with her. Or Hope wouldn't go at all. And with Lizzie's siphoning ability, they could move the Hollow into a person of choice (using the siphoning spell) and trap the hollow in the 2018 prison world (Writer can choose what to do with Kai). Klaus wouldn't die and neither would Hayley in this situation. But the writer could also keep what happened in the show.
This one could be added onto any of the options above if the writer wanted: There could also be the possibility that Lizzie starts to become even more unstable as a result of being separated from her twin, so Caroline retrieves Kai from the Prison World for help.
