"Hey! Hurry up, you two, we're heading out! We have to make it back to Raven Rock before the ship sets out for Windhelm!" Tsapi and Ri'nara finally emerged from their bedchamber with their armor and packs on. Collectively, our jaws dropped. Their armor was...girly. Pink.
"That's how you spent your share of the gold?" I asked incredulously. "I don't even want to think about how expensive that must have been." They shrugged. "Let's go, guys." I said after we picked our jaws up off the floor.
We filed out the front doors, and I locked them with a spell just in case of bandits. This hideout had been our home for almost a year, but we were all looking forward to familiar shores and our next adventure.

"Turns out, seasickness doesn't change." Ventus said with a laugh in his voice as Ri'nara leaned over the side of the ship again. I punched him in the arm. "Be nice, ya big meanie."
Tsapi seemed to be handling it a little better. She could eat gruel, at least. Ri'nara couldn't eat anything. Celesty and Rosla took turns sitting with her below deck.
Arina practiced throwing knives at different targets constantly. I knew why. A secret like that....it would take its toll on anyone. If Rosla noticed how her partner was behaving, she didn't say anything.
Even Ventus seemed to be under some strain. He tried to hide it, but it was obvious. He spent a lot of time in the water, swimming without clothes or armor. I figured he was shedding so I let him be. Little did I know it was something much bigger that anything I could dream up, yet when I did find out, it seemed so painfully obvious.
**A FEW WEEKS LATER**
"Ah! Home sweet Hell-gen." Rosla said exuberantly as we stepped off the cart in front of the keep. The rest of us collectively groaned and I pointedly told her to go screw a door.
We spent the next week relaxing and preparing for the short trip to the Cyrodil border. We packed for harsh, cold weather, and packed lots of clothes and food.
The following week, we set out for Cyrodil. I couldn't tell them anything about Cyrodil, other than the history I'd laid out to Arina in the bath.
Unbeknownst to us, our true adventure was about to begin. It would be an epic, wild ride that none of us could have possibly predicted.
It all started with the trip to Cyrodil...
