I jolted awake. Someone strange was sitting in the chair across from the bed. No, not someone strange. It was Serana. But what was Serana doing in my room? Where was my roommate, Maria? And why wasn't I in my room at the transitional shelter I was staying at? What was going on?
"It's about time you woke up." Serana's voice was the same as in the video game. I sat up. This was no game.
"Where are we?" I asked as a test. I'd left the game in Whiterun at the Bannered Mare when I played the night before and wanted to be sure I was actually my character.
"The Bannered Mare in Whiterun. Do you truly not remember? I've never seen a vampire get so drunk." Drunk? But I hadn't done that quest yet.
To test a theory, I simply said, "Menu." My quest log opened up with my level and quests to complete. So it was still like the game, I still had to level up in order to gain new spells and enchantments. It was just my new life. The day I became Lilitah the dark elf Dragonborn.
A knock sounded on the door and I heard muffled voices. "Maybe she's not in here." "She has to be, this is the only room we haven't checked." Recognizing them, I ran to the door. An orc, a wood elf, a high elf, and a Nord stood in front of the door and my heart fell as I realized, I'd have to keep them safe.
My family got isekai'd with me.
